Certainly a bit of an odd book at times, but overall an interesting read. It is quite long and some of the information has been used in more modern books, leading to a feeling of repeating what you have already read (something probably not altogether uncommon when reading numerous parenting books).

There was a bit of a disturbing section about building your children voodoo dolls (for lack of better working), for them to get their anger out on. I wasn't expecting it and it was rather taken aback by the concept as it doesn't seem like a healthy way for a child to express his/her emotions.
