You may be winning the battle in court, but losing the war at home, saddened at the wounds your children bear as a result of this conflict. But because you are willing to do anything to help your children thrive, you can learn to build a parenting partnership with your former mate in spite of the history between you.
The Co-Parenting Survival Guide shows you how to avoid the hot spots and the common traps of hostility, inflexibility, and constant squabbling, and develop skills to sustain a co-parenting partnership based on love and concern for your children, so they can best benefit from two parents living separately but working together.
such a good read about the role conflict plays at all stages, at all levels, even the ones you don't see or admit. a really practical and thought-provoking book about how to do best for your kids. it would probably be a good book for people just in a rough spot too, although I imagine the title wouldn't make that very likely.
A must read for anyone who is going through a divorce and is having a difficult time with co-parenting. I will be recommending this book to clients who struggle to see past their issues with their ex and are failing to see the damage they are doing to their children. This book offers a lot of ideas and solutions to co-parenting with a difficult partner.
This is a really good book for people divorcing who have children, especially those that are in high conflict situations. It would also be good for those who work with divorcing couples or children involved in a divorce.
I thought this was a good, practical and thorough book for newly divorced high conflict parents. It covers a lot of topics and stresses putting your kids first no matter what. It doesn't really talk about step parenting or blended families at all.
Another good read on how to parent in the midst of conflict. My basic issue with this book is that it assumes that both parents are equally capable and willing to move forward.
This was very helpful. An honest look at the challenges of co-parenting post divorce. Tips and suggestions to prevent ongoing stress and how to keep the kids out of it.
