Recommended by Chef Gary Hild, my instructor at The Culinary Center of Kansas City. Structured by what type of wine you want to serve, then several recipes are given. I've already tried and enjoyed:

-Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Pomegranate Sauce
-Risotto with Roasted Shallots, Portobello Mushroom, Radicchio & Parmesan
-Grilled Lamb with Roasted Garlic-Mint Sauce
-Grilled Flank Steak with Roasted Corn-Pancetta Salsa

Each section opens with a description of the typical aromas and flavors in the wine, then discusses base (main) ingredients of the dish, followed by bridge ingredients that help connect the food and wine. I think I need to own this one.

There are much more than just "grilled" recipes in here - it's just that was the main section of class for which we used these recipes. I made the Risotto at home and found it to be excellent.

I adore the unique variety of recipes in this treasured cookbook. Be warned, not for the faint of heart in the kitchen!

I have used this book so much that it is falling apart. I love how it talks about each wine grape varietal listing its base and bridge ingredients.
