Settler Paul Foster was a thirteen year old who recklessly became involved in a robbery and is sentenced to prison instead of the hangman's noose. After serving his time he tries to go home
and find what's left of his family, and finds them all dead and someone else is living in his family
homestead.

I read Settlers Chase first and this was the original story of Sett and Ria. Well written western
with good characters that leave you wanting to read more about them.

I loved the story and found the characters believable and the descriptions excellent. However, some bad editing and misspelled words--two for too and loose for lose--took me right out of it at times. Other readers may not be quite so bothered by this and I do think it well worth reading.

One of my favorite genres. Didn't disappoint.
