Before we get started, let's clarify some things.
1) The name is NIKITAS, not Nikias. The author actually got it right at first when she used it, and then turned it into a failed version of Nokia. Made me giggle every single time, and not in a good way.
2) Cara and Dios are SPANISH/ITALIAN words, NOT GREEK. If you want to give a more authentic ethnic feel to your story, don't go using another language's words.
3) Greece is not in the tropics, where the weather is fine all year long. There is NO compilation of times 6 months apart with enough "summer heat".
Seriously, do your research! I really couldn't stop laughing, especially at the Spanish words use. LOL oh wow was that embarrassing :P

/me pulls herself together
Ok, so Daryle goes off to marry Alexis, and her sister Diona goes to Greece to knock some sense in her sister. Nikitas (or as you will know him in most of the book, Nikias) is also opposed to the wedding, thinking she is only after the family money. He mistakes Diona for Daryle and "kidnaps" her, essentially secluding her on his own private island, and not believing her story. While alone together, they bond and hit it off. Nikitas doesn't believe Diona is not a mischievous little wench on a number of occasions, always ALWAYS putting the worst in his mind, especially when she refuses to be his mistress. Despite their combined best efforts, Daryle and Alexis actually do get married (proof that love at first sight is possible, and people change). In the end, after yet another island kidnapping and the obligatory jealous drama, brothers marry sisters and all is well in the world.

I am sorry, but this book was hilarious for me. Maybe because I am Greek and know better. As much as I tried to get swept off my feet by the story, I could not for the life of me relate to a single thing in it. So you get kidnapped in a secluded island but know you are in no danger, and you do NOT spend your every living moment talking and making your case, proving you are NOT your sister? I would have so absolutely been on board if Diona had actually consciously said "fuck it", and went ahead to enjoy a week's vacation on a Greek island. THAT would have been more believable.

(Oh, did I mention Diona is a virgin? No? Ah well... not for long)

I found it so hard to push forward with this book. It bored me, it annoyed me, it made me facepalm myself way too many times, and in the end, it just made me shrug. I admit there are positive elements there, but I can't put my finger on them. Even the erotic scenes were "meh" at best for me, if not infuriating - really, he just enters her and she orgasms? Really now?!

Omg really! This book had so much promise, but failed miserably for me. The premise sounded intriguing but just didn't live up to it. The word 'had' was in almost every other sentence, sometimes twice and the fact that Diona kept letting Nikias in her bed when he insulted her and called her a prostitute, and refused to let her speak just pissed me off. I couldn't even finish it, which says A LOT because I always finish my books! I don't even know how it ends, but I'm sure its the typical 'all is forgiven hea'. Bleh.

The whole thing just felt soooo wrong and unrealistic! It's a BIG NO for me.

I'm sorry but I can't help my feelings and I didn't like this story. All the characters were ridiculous and annoying at one point or another. I don't know how many times I rolled my eyes. Do I need to say more?

It was really frustrating and I didn't want to finish it but I did anyway because I don't like to not finish a book. But damn, can we please STOP with the billionaire's stereotype ? (Don't get me wrong, sometimes I enjoy a book with a rich man but well, not this one). And please, change the cover...

(So yeah, that wasn't a 'fun and happy' review, but seriously don't ever waste your time reading this book thinking it will be ok to read it because it was free!)

I got this book for free from Nook.

I want my money back.

This was extremely poorly written. Poorly written to the point where I want to be kind to the author because she seems like a fifteen year old who has never written before and I want to encourage her because maybe, MAYBE when she grows up she will learn to write better, use better grammar, and realize that not everyone needs to know that the food was "delicious" and her hips are "curvy", and jesus christ you don't lose your virginity like that, she will be a good writer.

This reads like a poor piece of fanfiction. The grammar is bad, the characters are forgettable, and overall, the book was an extreme waste of my time.

I hated this book. I couldn't stand Diona. I thought she was weak and pathetic. I mean seriously, who the fuck would have sex with a man after he practically called her a prostitute? Or insulted her at just about every turn? I can't even count how many times I wanted to throw my kindle at her doormat attitude.
I also couldn't stand Nikias. He was far too controlling and arrogant. He expected everyone to do as he wanted. I hated the way he treated Diona. He thought of her as someone to warm his bed until he bored of her company. I loathe the type of man who could so easily use a woman like that; like she was something dispensable and unworthy. What they had seemed too much like an abusive relationship and I was not comfortable reading it.
Their "love" seemed entirely forced, there didn't seem to be any natural progression with their relationship.
I doubt I'll be reading any other books by this author. And anyone who is considering reading this book I would highly suggest you don't waste your time.

During this novel I asked myself on multiple occasions why I never stopped reading! It pissed me off.

description

The story and its premise was all over the place. I felt it constantly jumped and never really gave what it was promising in the blurb. The story was jumbled. I was constantly doing double takes on some sentences that were confusing. I felt the author had rushed this and published without having had someone read it over. It was a huge let down.

I have never rolled my eyes so much at a book before!

Nikias was a huge asshole. A real dick throughout the whole novel. BUT this wasn’t the thing that truly pissed me off!

Diona, the heroine, was the most weakest character I have ever read! One touch by Nikias had her whimpering in his arms forgetting all the asshole shit he accused her of. Come on! This man constantly insulted her, accused her of being a prostitute and as such propositioned her to become his mistress. Instead of hurling insults and staying the hell away – she practically jumps into his arms at every turn. What the fuck!

I rarely give one star reviews and if I do I always give the author another chance. However, I will not be giving this author another chance.

Why the hell did I keep on reading.

This was actually pretty good.

The storyline was pretty decent. You have two billionaire brothers, Nikias and Alexis, who are devastatingly handsome and both known for their playboy ways.

When the younger brother, Alexis meets and falls in love wanting to be married immediately, Nikias steps in with intentions to stop the wedding and the relationship as a whole. In his haste to take action he kidnaps the wrong sister.

While it literally takes the entire book for Nikias to realize that Diona (older sister to Daryle) has been telling the truth about who she is and her involvement in their sibling's relationship, it doesn't take any time at all for him to fall for her body and soul. He just needs his head to catch up to the fact.

This book i full of banter and witty come backs. It has a great build up and pretty good characters. Of course the intimate scenes hit the right spot and left me pretty excited!

Thank god the book didn't leave me with the usual sappy residue that most romances are dishing out, although it was pretty abrupt.

This shit right here...reminds me why I have a love/hate relationship with SPAs.

This is like...a poorly written excuse for a Harlequin romance. It certainly has all the tropes of a Harlequin:

-Beautiful virgin
-ruthless rich Greek tycoon billionaire type who for some reason does no fact checking or research
-completely unrealistic situations that require lots of money

Now, don't get me wrong, I like Harlequins...I cut my romance teeth on Harlequins...but the writing and the characters killed me. How many times can an author use the word "had" in a short novella? I mean, really? Well, I found out.
Diona Brown was a beautiful girl. While fairly small, only 5.3 she had a figure which had men turning wherever she went. Large blue intelligent eyes sat in her small round face, giving her an innocent look which many men found so appealing. Her soft red lips when they broke into a smile had the power to completely transform her lovely features, giving her a glow which was breathtaking and which people responded so warmly to, a great thing to have in her job as a nurse.
--Kindle Location 64

Seriously?? I almost stopped at this point. But then I thought...surely the writing has to get better.

But ummmm, nope!
Diona had held her breath as he had looked at her with a fire in his eyes which had made her whole body light up with desire, dropping her eyes to her food to hide the sudden matching fire in her own as she had concentrated on her meal.

As they had finished he had offered her a drink as they had moved into the living room. Accepting the offer, she had cleared her throat nervously.

"I was thinking that I would see if I could get a flight back home tomorrow" she had said her eyes flicking to his, seeing the way he had smiled knowingly.

"So, running away Diona?" he had said gently, as she had taken a drink from her glass before placing it on a nearby table.

"I think it would be for the best".

"What if I disagree?" he replied, seeing how she had looked up at him.

"Please Nikias, don't" she had said pleading gently with him, seeing how he had moved closer to her, so close that he was looking down on her.

"Why are you always trying to escape from me Diona? he whispered sensually against her hair feeling how she had shivered slightly.

-Kindle Location 1966

So. I had to force myself to finish the book. Mainly by skimming as much as possible and trying to ignore the word “had” that appears in almost every.freaking.sentence.*

The saddest part about this book is…that it really would make a pretty good fit for a Harlequin Presents. A shitload of editing would have to be done. And I do mean a shitload. Plus the author really needs to take some classes on how to clean up her writing. It’s…disconcerting to read a book that is almost 100% in past tense.

Not to say that the plot doesn’t have some issues (as well). The first part of the story arc: the kidnapping and mistaken identity are fine. The later arcs are a bit more troublesome. One arc - which focuses on Nikias’ belief that Diona was trying to get her sister and his brother to marry – just doesn’t really make sense as explained in the book. Why would Diona be so concerned with her sister’s possible wedding or not? The brother is younger than Nikias and has no money of his own. Nikias is the financial prize…so it didn’t make sense.

And the ending. Oh jeeze, the ending. Let’s just say it wasn’t satisfying and leave it at that.

Two One Badly Edited Star – for the trope alone.

*I did a search for the word “had” in this book. This book shows a final location of 2592. I stopped at location 1434 as the search was killing my processors. I found 1800 instances of the word “had” by location 1434.

I compared that to How to Tell a Lie by Delphine Dryden. How to Tell a Lie has a final location of 2721. I found 391 instances of the word “had” in the entire book!

WOW! I haven't even finished this book and don't know where to start! I typically shy away from posting my harsh opinions in a review, but I just cannot let this one go by!!!! The story is decent enough. However, it has taken my twice as long to read it because the writing is simply horrific! It reminds me of a student who has been assigned a 1000 word essay and tries to come up with filler words! The word "had" is literally in every other sentence! Sometimes in the same sentence more than once. See below:

"They HAD made love once more, Nikias gentle as he HAD explored her body with his mouth, hands and tongue, makeing Diona move so sensually with him as they HAD lost themselves in the need for the other. When he HAD once more entered her, he HAD moved against her, his body so firm and sure his movements driving her wild beneath him until as she HAD once more erupted. With such sweet and almost painful sensations riping through her blackness had momentarily taken Diona, wnaware as she HAD cried out, her whole body arching against his. As she HAD beat against him in such a way he HAD lost the last thread of restraint, climaxing with her, his finat thrust releasing deep within her soft body as he HAD cried out in Greed, words which she neither heard nor understood."

Between all the HADs and the run-on sentences in the book, I have had to read the same paragraph two or three times! I will continue to read and finish the book as I want to see how it ends, but it may be a struggle.

A Wonderful Mistake

This book pulled me in deeper and deeper by each word I read, keeping my mind captive, constantly wanting more. Every page made me want to keep reading. In this book, two young lovers, Alexis and Daryle, were ready to race off and get married. Alexis being a rich young man and Daryly just an average girl living with her sister. The only problem was that both of their older siblings, Nikias and Diona, disagreed and thought they were rushing and making a huge mistake. Nikias had mistaken Diona for Daryle and kidnapped the wrong sister, trying to prevent the wedding. No matter how much she argued or tried to explain he had the wrong one, Nikias didn't listen and kept her trapped on his own island for a week. Over that time, they were brought together, passion and lust overcoming them, but at the same time hate and distrust. Their relationship constantly changing frome love to hate, back and fourth. Finally they parted, not speaking for the longest time, until Nikias showed up out of the blue, determined to claim what he wanted, Diona. I liked how the author used different details that fit perfectly in each situation, instead of using the same old dull details over and over. The words pulled me into the story, my mind constantly wondering how Nikias was thinking because most of the book was how Diona was feeling, thinking, and what her experiences were. It made me wonder, does Nikias love her? Or is it all just lust? What is going through his mind? How the auther chose her words made everying such a vivid image in my mind; so many details pulling me in.

Just discovered this evening that although I read this book in September, I never wrote the review.

I read one of the author's books, Billionaire's Revenge by Marie Kelly Billionaire's Revenge
and, surprisingly enjoyed it. So I read this one. BIG. MISTAKE.

Poor editing. Ridiculous situation with a stupid heroine that needs to be smacked upside her head

The supposed Hero is an ass. He just took Greek men back 30 years w/ regards to their stereotype as hot-headed, bossy chauvinists (or is that just the Greek restaurateurs?). He didn't deserve the girl in the end, he deserved a restraining order!

I was mad at myself for finishing it.

Don't bother reading this book.

I was tempted to one star this book on the grounds of being horribly, atrociously, disgustingly unedited.

Example~

Diona giggled gently against him. "So you made me a prisoner again", she said as he groaned. "I do seem to come over all caveman around you", he laughed. "But I was so worried that you would take off and jump straight on the next plane abroad to work with some agency or other, and that I might never find you again", he said with pain in his voice. "I had to keep you there until I could explain"

That is a paragraph in this book...no kidding and seriously.

The story line though was really good! I kept waiting for the cliche of Diona becoming pregnant to happen...but it didn't. That would have been the easiest way out for the author but she didn't take it.

However, she did do something that just irritates me. If this author really is a woman, she should stick to writing sex scenes from a woman's point of view. Like it or not, we women have no clue what it feels like to have an orgasm as a man. It is my experience, that authors write sex scenes better, when they stick to writing from their own experience or fantasies. Just saying...

I would only recommend this book to people who aren't grammar freaks. Hell, I am NOT that good at grammar (can you tell ^-^) and the errors in this book were getting annoying. I mean how hard is it to do basic things right? Like, putting a period where it belongs...or putting ," or ." at the end of dialogue?

**spoiler alert**

Ok story, good writing although after about 30% it got a bit longwinded ....
As far as the characters, Nikias was an idiot, Diona was a likable idiot, and I kinda thought Alexis and Daryl were idiots too. I mean come on who doesn't realize their sister was kidnapped?? There was so much back and forth with Nikias and Diona, that I wanted to smack both of them lol and of course out of nowhere Nikias thought "oh, you aren't a money hungry gold digger, sweet lets get hitched" and Diona was all "omg you are still a self centered asshat so I will absolutely marry you" and end with an abrupt HEA ....

DNF @ 21%. Sorry I just can't read this any longer. Just trying to read it is giving me a headache. The story isn't that bad it is the writing. It sucks. The over use of the word HAD is beyond aggravating. Example...in just one paragraph the word HAD was used 4 times. I did a word search to see how many times HAD is used in this book.......3,501 times!!!

Kelly, Marie. Kidnapped The Wrong Sister. ePublished by Lulu, 2013. ePublished.
If I had to rate Kidnapped The Wrong Sister I would rate it a five. It was such a great book and it grabbed my attention starting with the first page. This book makes you feel so many different emotions towards the characters and the story itself. Kidnapped The Wrong Sister had so many exciting scenes like when she got kidnapped and he thought Diona was her sister Daryle. Every time I had to put down the book I was so depressed because I would always have to put it down during the good papers and I'm like what happened between Alexis and Daryle or did Nikias kill Diona. At certain point I wanted to throw my IPad at the wall like when Diona almost had sex with Nikias I'm like what's your problem he called you a "prostitute" and he kidnapped you and to top it all off his brother is about to marry your sister. When Diona go to a phone I was so excited I was in my mind saying "yes, she can call her sister stop the wedding and leave." Then when I found out the phone doesn't work I get all depressed all over again. I love this book this has to be by far my all time favorite book now. I seriously love the fact that it grabbed my attention so fast made it better. Honestly I hate reading book take tolong to get to the interesting part and usually I just give up and quit reading until either the movie comes out or someone else's reads it and tells me about it.

Wow, I don't even know where to start with this book. How about the horrible writing, grammar and spelling mistakes. The word "how" appears so many times its distracting.
Also, I couldn't get over the changing if narrators randomly through chapters, and even some paragraphs.
I gave this book a shot, even being prepared for substandard writing because the idea behind it was intriguing. Sadly, the follow through on the idea was not there.

The characters are unbelievable and trite. Unfortunately the reader is asked to buy into Diona complacently sitting back while Nikias holds her captive. And that she would honestly spend her days in his company without any ill will towards him. Also, why would her sister not do anything to try and find her? She knew that Diona came all the way from the UK to stop her from making a huge mistake but when she just disappears Daryle does nothing?!? Really?!

I would give this book half a star if possible but one will have to do.

Well another waste of time, this one had such amateurish writing that it could have been written by a teenager. Plus the formatting was bad and it was very hard to keep track of who was talking.

Diona (h) just knew she had to save her little sister from making the biggest mistake of her life by marrying someone she barley knows. Even though she is terrified of flying , she boards the next plane for Greece to stop her sister.

Nikias (H) just knows he has to save his little brother from making the biggest mistake of his life by marrying someone he barley knows. So he shows up at the hotel where the girlfriend has a reservation and confronts her when his brother isn't there. When she can't be bought off he has no other choice than to lure her out to his island and keep her hostage.

Too bad he doesn't realize that he has the wrong sister.

If I had to subscribe this book in just a few words ,those words would be boring and unbelievable.

Such an infuriating book. Nikias had NO redeeming qualities. He was self centered, cruel, egotistical, an asshole, and a manipulative bastard.

I can't get over how much the heroine put up with him. Don't get me wrong, I like the occasional damsel in distress, but this girl just had too many exaggerating qualities. There is even a fainting scene. She also let the guy walk all over her and she never once stood up for herself and when she "tried" our hero just seduce her what sex which always seemed to work.

Not a great book, the story was interesting if nothing else. BUT that had to be one of the worst ending ever, i kept trying to turn the page at the end for an epilogue or something and nothing was there. Basically... 'will you marry me?' 'yup' The END! Seriously the author couldn't think of anything to come after that? If those ending don't bother you, than its an ok book.
