Meddlers In Time- Out of the frying pan, into the fire. This is part one of the 35th century tales. It covers the period of when Wayne Jamieson is drafted into the Imperial forces, having spent the last forty years as a spacer, pirate, mercenary and lastly- as the commander of a successful privateer Free Company. (Book & Description from Smashwords.com).
Most of the heroes from Meddlers In Time also appear in this book, however, while that book had them jumping backwards and forwards in time, this one is entirely set in the 35th Century with no time-travel to speak of. In that I was a little disappointed.
The "Aegean Seas" is transporting high-ranking aristocrats and is about to be attacked by a group of elite force. The orders are to take command of the "Aegean Seas" defences and prevent the attack succeeding.

Big disapointment. Is it a book, or preview to next one in a series? I liked the first one, so maybe it influenced my rating. (I really liked the first one)
