FIVE FRONTIERS concerns a group of young men and one young woman in conflict with a Russian agency charged with the destruction, by atomic infernal machines, of selected targets throughout Europe and Asia which would have rendered a Third World War unnecessary. It is the story of a quest which leads our team of mountaineers and boatmen from the storm-tossed waters of the Hebrides to the Maritime Alps and thence to the valleys of Nepal.
