I really liked this one. For this to be such a brief story it's packed with tons of details & depth concerning the two main characters.
This one starts out with a not so original concept; female comes across misfortune ending up stuck on a mountain for months with no way of getting home, with a beyond sexy mountain of a man craving solitude.
What I did love about this one is from the beginning, there was no "harping" on one another about their unfortunate circumstances. Just resigned acceptance of it. They treated one another with respect inspite of. But there was no tip toeing around each other either. If I were ever in Isabel's situation, I pray that I would be stuck with a man as kind, resourceful, considerate, understanding, and as beautiful as Daniel.
I loved the way the reality of their situation and human emotions played out in this one. It came across as realistic and endearing at the same time. The passage of time. The ebb and flow that their lives take until it became a natural rhythm that neither of them would have ever envisioned for themselves.
This one is a romantic, endearing, sexy, erotic read. With a mild undertone of BDSM and a very surprising but beautiful paranormal twist.
I would definitely recommend this read.

Erotic sexual submission set within a good story.
STORY BRIEF:
Isabel is on a first date with a creep Eddie who drives up a mountain planning to make out with her. She fights him off, gets out of the car and tells him to leave. He drives off without her. Then she realizes she is stranded 10 miles from home. She starts walking, but gets lost when a storm begins. Daniel lives in a nearby cabin. He finds her and gives her shelter. The snowstorm strands them together in his cabin for a few months. Daniel is a lawyer who defended a client and got him off. The client then committed a murder. Daniel wanted alone time living in the cabin while dealing with his guilt from the case.
REVIEWER’S OPINION:
The story and characters are enjoyable. It didn’t feel like a run-of-the-mill story. It is good writing and enjoyable. The only thing I did not like was the conflict toward the end which separated the couple. The author used my pet peeve of vague communication and inaccurate assumptions. Although I grumbled with that mechanism, I still enjoyed the story. The sex scenes include submission with Daniel tying up Isabel and causing pleasure through pain. The author comes up with some unusual bondage and pain ideas.

Isabel is in her thirties. She walks out on an overaggressive date, and gets lost in a big storm, out in the woods. Daniel, who looks like a mountain man but is really a professional on a self-imposed sabbatical, finds her. Due to heavy winter weather, they are isolated for a few months.
Hot hot hot story, with some mild paranormal elements. I really loved this book and the characters. This is a compelling story and I only wish the book were longer.
This one is re-read worthy!

So, I picked up this book yesterday evening -was in the mood for something sexy- and I couldn't put it it down. There's no need to comment on the plot, as it's already spelled out on the back of the book. Also, this being an Ellora's Cave publishing, there is a lot of sex, of course. I really enjoyed the story and the sex scenes were very descriptive... bondage and submission. However, the subplot with the ghosts of Isabel Ingandello's great-grandmother and Daniel Fox's great-grandfather was a bit much. It's not that I don't enjoy a good ghost story. I love ghost stories! The mystery of their great-grandparents was sweet, but Cabin Fever would have been so much better without the actual ghosts of their great-grandparents past.

2.5 stars. It was okay. I liked it.
Wasn't that sexy. The domination/submission was like a random side note that wasn't explored deeply. The part that was explored felt less than sexy and just... painful.
Lots of tropes and devices, snowed in (forced intimacy), ghostly ancestors, soul mates/fated love, contrived UST, a big misunderstanding, etc.
Didn't enjoy the ride that much because not much about their story engaged me or pulled me into it. It was mostly just okay.
Can't rec this book. I read it hot on the heels of some amazing short erotica, so that may have influenced me a bit.

Snowed in on the top of the mountain....but no cabin fever around here, babe! Too much going on to get bored - jealous pet wolves, ghostly ancestors with secret messages, a little light bondage with rope and clothespins, cooking, cleaning, sweeping, masturbating - why, a girl doesn't need electricity - just a pail to piss in!
You think I'm kidding? It's all there. Did I mention that the multiple references to our hero's beard, plus the getting back to nature in the mountain cabin thing, reminded me of Grizzly Adams? Now that's hot.

The H/H chemistry was good, the sex was hot and the set up at the beginning of the story had me hooked. But the storyline was a bit lacking for me when it came to the 'ghost story'. I also had a bit of a problem imagining the description of the hero, but all in all the book was a good read. Warning -- bondage scenes in the book are VERY descriptive! This book is DEFINITELY not for kiddos or the diminuitive reader.

Well, I clearly enjoyed this more than the friend who very kindly sent it to me, (thank you again!!) but it felt like a lot of suspense for not much substance, a bit much ado about nothing. Endless questioning as to whether Isabella will be up to the hero's "special needs" but then it ends up being almost down-played when it occurs. The supernatural aspect seems rather unnecessary and superfluous, and not terribly convincing. Still, interesting read.

Finally found a book that does this scenario well and it is isn't new, so what is the problem with others???
Isabel and Daniel are stuck together and both have issues they need to work out. The interesting fact is that neither recognizes their problems and blames others, but they both clearly see the issues with the other. This causes them to point it out and gives some clarity, but they both still fail to see each other clearly, or their deepest desires
There were points in this book that made my chest hurt I was so upset, and that is not a regular occurrence, sobbing uncontrollably yes, but actually feeling the pain of the characters, that is how invested you become in the characters
There is a smidge of paranormal, but it is in a believable aspect, so unless you are a literalist, you can easily accept it as a reality
Nothing over-the-top, nothing really extraordinary, but the story and the characters creep into your conscience and take you on a wonderful and escapist read and that in itself makes it a good read!

Isabel gets stranded by a date in the mountains before the first major storm of the season. She is lost and hurt but found by Daniel who nurses her back to health. Isabel won't be able to leave the mountain until the spring. She and Daniel try to ignore the attraction between them but it becomes difficult. I liked Isabel and Daniel. The beginning of the story was a little slow as their lives prior to the mountain and during the mountain is set. When they give into their attraction the story picks up. The sex is well written and hot. Makes me want to be on that mountain. There is also another layer to this love story--very beautifully done. There are misunderstandings that need to be untangled but I'm glad they lowered their pride and took the chance. Good read.
