Damaged Professor

Rate this book
A one-night stand with a protective billionaire…thrilling.
Realizing he’s my new professor…disastrous.

My troubled past has left my heart for dead.
But under the chiseled abs of a silver fox,
I came back to life.

Until I walked into my first college class.
My one-night stand was right there, behind the podium.

I couldn’t believe my eyes and my heart was plummeting again.

Now I must ignore the fact that this man makes my panties melt off.
But he won’t back down, he’s hellbent on teaching me all the lessons.

Except someone knows our secret.
And this damaged professor's reputation must stay clean.

Despite being a famous author and money running deep in his blood,
teaching is his fire.

Our private “human anatomy” sessions could cost him everything.

Very enjoyable book, Abby and Dylan are a very good match for each other. It just takes them some time to get past the professor/ student issue. Having gone to college you hear of the students sleeping with a professor to get a better grade. It happens, but in this case, it was not the case. Abby fell for Dylan before she knew he was her professor and then struggled with the thoughts of do I date him and potentially ruin his tenure chances or have people think I’m “doing him for my grade.” Valid concerns, but they both start to figure out what the other person in their life means to them and how important it is to have that person in their life. In this case it doesn’t come without a big threatening bump in the road and some serious 2nd thoughts on Abby’s part in not wanting to hurt Dylan’s tenure and career. But Dylan has other ideas, he is so in love with Abby that he will do anything to be with her. And he does something I had not expected but it worked and the ended-up HEA. Great book a 2-day read so carve out a weekend and have your meals delivered as you will want to keep turning the pages!

Dang! What's not to love about Dylan and Abby?

An older student, beginning college at an Ivy League school after an extended gap following High School, meets her soon to be college professor before her first term begins. Neither are aware that they'll be seeing each other academically after they meet up at a bar, so it's a shock all around. But both have realized soon enough that they might be perfect for one another, if not for the questionable appearance of a professor dating his own student.

Dylan has been deeply wounded by an intimate betrayal many years back. Abby is trying to move on after healing from the untimely loss of her fiance years earlier. Both appreciate and respect the other's mind and accomplishments... so enter the fly in the ointment... and it's a doozy.

So much of the writing feels exactly right. The beauty of each response to each event fills the story. We feel both characters healing and coming alive as they spend more time together. It's delightful to read. Easy to recommend.

Abby has returned to the States after 4 years in Europe after the death of her fiancé James in an accident. She is beginning her first year of college at Princeton. A few nights before classes start, she is out with a friend when she meets Dylan, a handsome older man in his thirties. Deciding to let herself respond to an attraction to a man for the first time since James’s death, she goes home with Dylan for a one night stand, never expecting to see him again.
On her first day of history class, there is Dylan, her new history professor. A strong attraction brings them back together, even though they know the teacher/ student relationship isn’t a good thing. As with this type of story, someone finds out, threatening the relationship. Dylan handles it in an unexpected way (I didn’t foresee this solution), leading to a HEA.
Great characters, well developed, an expected problem but unusual resolution, story told from POV of both Abby and Dylan, good supporting characters. Enjoyable read easy to do in a day.

This was a good read that is told in first person POV by both the male and female main characters. You get to experience lust, shock, suspense, friendship and love. The side characters really brought this story together.

I love Dylan and Abby together. I love how they their second encounter happened. I loved that they are both so caring and selfless towards each other. The suspense wasn’t over the top and the sexual chemistry was just the perfect. I love the banter between all of the characters and how the side characters were always there to talk, support and nudge Dylan and Abby when they both needed it.

This is the first time I’ve read anything by this Summer and I don’t see it being the last time. I really hope this turns into a series because I need to see more of Dylan and Abby, but I really need to see more of Nichole and Ashton.

I found that I enjoyed this book. Dylan and Abby were a great couple and their past was heartbreaking. They both deserved a happily ever after.
Meeting a guy at a bar is one thing and finding out he is your professor is totally something different. Abby and Dylan hit it off, their time together was almost perfect. Their night and morning lead to almost lunch the next day. They wanted to see each other again but neither got the other's number. Funny when Abby walked into her history class and her professor was Dylan.
Sleeping with a teacher to get good grades is wrong, but Abby and Dylan met before they knew who the other was. They tried to stay away from each other but the pull and chemistry were too strong.
This story was heartbreaking for their past and sweet for the way their love brewed just under the surface.
This is a first for me from this author and I look forward to reading more.

Hot as Sin- Professor/Student Age Gap

This book is going to make your knees weak and your heart full! Dylan is a billionaire author who has now fallen in love with teaching. He has done a lot in his life and has been very successful. Being a professor is a passion for him but when he has a one night stand with the beautiful Abby he can’t get her out of his mind. Then she walks into his classroom and he can’t stop reimagining their night together and he isn’t ready to let her go. Abby will not threaten his future and she just move past their one amazing night!

Their story is hot, sinful and very sexy!! You will devour this story and will love these characters. They are fun, exciting, and quite entertaining as they work through the chaos of their choices. You will not be disappointed in this story. Happy Reading!!

I Loved this story so much!!! The two main characters are your typical broken hearted sweethearts who have chosen to steer clear of love and love type situations. What’s not so typical is their story and the way everything plays out. Abby is the intelligent, beautiful college student who’s on her own path when she meets Dylan, the handsome and well mannered professor who puts the Umm in Yummy. Abby and Dylan are perfectly matched, their playful banter is adorable, the tension between them is palpable until it becomes complete explosions. I loved witnessing their hearts being repaired after the heartbreak they both experienced. This was exactly the feel good story that I needed to read.

Dylan and Abby's Story . . .

This is a story of two likable people who are not looking for love, having had painful experiences they were dealing with. Dylan, a billionaire, meets Abby in a bar by chance, neither knowing that their paths would cross again in an awkward manner. They get together for a one-night-stand. The awkward part soon follows when Abby enters the class and sees her one-night-stand is the professor! When a student attempts blackmail which could cost Dylan his job, what will Abby choose to do?

This was a good story line and, not only the main characters but the supportive side characters, made it even better. Grab your copy and see if there is a HEA or whether it was not meant to be.

Abby and Dylan meet in a bar and end up spending the night together. Both have a bad history when it comes to relationships. The next morning Anny leaves and doesn't expect t see him again. However, when she gets to her history class, she is shocked to see Dylan is her new professor. They try to fiht their growing attraction but end up giving into each other. Will this cause problem at the college for them? Can this be something more for the both of them?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Dylan has been on his own ever since his ex-cheated on him. He has placed all his time into his work but that changes when he meets Abby at the bar he was at. Something about her stands out and they connect for one night. Imagine her surprise when she attends her class and Dylan is her college professor. It reignites the sparks to their connection and a relationship starts but someone is watching and is now blackmailing them. Will Dylan and Abby's relationship suffer at the hands of a disgruntle student? This story had me all caught up in the drama!

This book starts off with Dylan and Abby having a one night stand and then find out a week later that Dylan is her College Professor. I loved both of the characters she wasn’t just a slutty college girl like many of these types of stories and he was trying to be responsible but you can’t control who you fall in love with. The love connection was powerful and sweet and smuttiness was super hot! I highly recommend this book!

A beautiful and emotional story about 2 souls who are hurt and hope in a way that they can both heal. That's the story of Dylan and Abby, they never thought to run into each other after their steamy night. But fate decides otherwise. This is a beautiful story and the author has also nicely described their emotions and expressed their feelings. Recommended!!

Dylan is a professor that Abby meets in a bar before school starts. Both of them are recovering from hurts of the heart in the past. They have one time together, then cue the awkward when they meet at school. They feel like they belong together, though, but there's the problem of him being the professor and her being the student. Their reactions and feelings are real. There is also a great cast of side characters who are appropriately supportive and encouraging.

This was a sweet, low angst, thoughtful romance. Both of the main characters were kind and thoughtful people that had been dealt a bad hand in the romance department. They both had a ton of internal hurdles to overcome, before they could truly appreciate being in love again. Not a bad read overall very sweet. There were a few steamy scenes, but this was certainly more about experiencing the love of this couple growing to conquer all.

First time reading Summer’s books so when I saw this and read the synopsis I thought why not.
My honest review is it took me a long time to get into this book the characters are ok but I felt something missing. I had hope once the story got going it would end really well but it just ended. A little disappointed 3⭐️

I enjoyed this book. Happy they were able to get an HEA. My only issue with the book was that once they actually worked things out to be together it was almost the end so we never really got to see them as an actual ‘couple’ except very briefly. Would have also liked an epilogue with more details of how their life turned out together. Overall though it was a good book!
