Feisty radio sensation Laura Ingraham is tired of the Hollywood Left--and she has all the answers in this pugnacious, funny, and devastating critique of the liberals who hate America

Page 117: "The liberal Elites dogma includes the conviction that "belief in God is irrational". Liberal Elites believed that "faith and reason are mutually exclusive". Liberal Elites believe that " religious people suspend rational thought and are driven by emotional fervor, and active Fantasy Life, or psychological weakness". They believe that "because religion is irrational, (that) religious people are a bit unstable, odd, (or) weird". Religious people "are to be mocked, feared, or perhaps pitied". And here's the rub liberal Elites feel that religious people are this way because "they are only a product of their environment". This is the elite version of the denial of free will, a sort of secular Calvinism."
This is so insightful! When anyone Mocks or persecutes the people of God, they are really mocking God. And the only reason to mock God is if you're jealous of God, or despise God. When you ask yourself who is it that had so much pride that he walked away from Paradise in order to set himself up as God, you realise that the answer to that question is Lucifer, and you begin to realise that over the course of time Lucifer has set out to undermine every truth or natural law that God has created. In order to separate God from his creation and subsequently hurt God by destroying the people he created. He must convince the people to believe lies over the truth in every area of life, starting with the most basic things. If you can convince people that they do not have free will, then you have taken away their ability to choose truth over lies. We see this in so many places now. We see behavior diagnosed as disease. We see sin excused as the results of poverty or bad parenting. We even see scientists seeking DNA code to explain behavior. If Satan can get the human race to deny free will, he has basically won a huge battle. Of course I know the one who's won the war, but this is some interesting Insight right here.
I like Laura Ingraham, agree with her more often than not, respect her charitable work, admire her taste in radio show bumper music, and applaud her conversion story. This book remains a worthwhile contribution to our national discourse. I can't give it more than two stars, however, because Ingraham does what radio hosts who write so often do, which is build chapters around comments from the people who listen to their shows.
The problem with this kind of construction is that when your own views are simpatico with the views of the author whom you're reading, and the author has a nationally syndicated radio show, then the point of view on hot-button issues becomes predictable. That's not to say that Ingraham is boring -- she's never that. She doesn't repeat herself ad nauseum the way Sean Hannity does. On the other hand, unlike Ann Coulter, the other conservative firebrand with whom she is sometimes compared, Ingraham's zingers are measured and seldom over-the-top.
Ingraham rails against elitism in six separate areas: politics, media, arts andentertainment, ivory tower (academia), business, and international organizations. For the most part, she makes her points with solid references, especially to the liberal Hollywood actors and actresses who seem to think that because we pay to watch them play dress-up, they are entitled to tell us who to vote for. It's a relevant and eye-opening book about the state of America today and why changes need to be made.
As usual, Laura tells it like it is in an entertaining way. I totally agree with her that celebrities should just do their jobs & keep their mouths shut about politics. The nutty opinions of Hollywood stars & how outspoken they are has turned me & a lot of other people off to them. It also includes a special section about Michael Moore.
Okay, all of my liberal-leaning friends, I dare you to read this one. Ingraham is smart, funny, and oh, so on the mark! The title should read "How Elites from Hollywood, Politics, and the MEDIA are Subverting America. Not sure why the title keeps popping up with "UN." Can't seem to fix that glitch. I think it must be a conspiracy!
Laura Ingraham exposes the people of the far left and the hollywood elites who are working to subvert America and are constantly putting her down. She shows with actual facta how Hollywood, The UN, the Universities, Left wing Politicans are subverting America and taking away our freedoms in their quest to make America part of a new one world order.
Shoulda read this one long ago but it is kind of interesting to see how things turned out. Published 11 years ago, it has been a rough road since then. I like Laura, she is smart and decent but this book wasn't all that interesting. I don't like the idea of telling people to shut up. That has definitely come back on anyone with traditional views, as she has.
Well written. Exposes much. Not for liberals to read as they would deny the facts. But oh so true. Can definitely make you angry as you see how things can change. Glad I read but sad how true it is.
This book was 20 years old when I read it. Everything she wrote 20 years ago is relevant today. What a great read. Very informative. The only difference is 20 years ago, there was an immigration problem. Today it’s three years into Biden‘s administration and that problem is a crisis. Fabulous read!!!
It's hard for me to watch Fox news and Laura Ingraham, I can't watch. The book seems to be supportive of the George W. Bush presidency and the second Iraq war, which both in retrospect stand out as glaring failures and weakened the Republican Party enough that it was willing to embrace Donald Trump.
