Kurt sbalí rodině kufry, nastartuje svou úžasnou žlutou multikáru a díky ohromné rybě obeplují celý svět. Hravý, lehce napsaný a velmi originální příběh provází zajímavé ilustrace.

About the author

Erlend Loe is a Norwegian novelist. He worked at a psychiatric clinic, and was later a freelance journalist for Norwegian newspaper Adresseavisen. Loe now lives and works in Oslo where in 1998 he co-founded Screenwriters Oslo - an office community for screenwriters.

In 1993 he debuted with the book Tatt av kvinnen, and a year later published a children's book, Fisken, about a forklift operator named Kurt. Loe has a distinctive style of writing which is often likened to naïve art. He often uses irony, exaggeration and humor.

Ova knjiga je kod nas prevedena pod naslovom "Riba" a izdavač joj je Bulevar books iz Novog Sada. Nisam uopšte znala da Lu piše i knjige za decu, tako da je ovo bila idealna prilika da ovaj kratak roman pročitam sa svojim sinom. Oduševio nas je! Lu je kao i uvek pun dobrog humora, vickast i urnebesan, grohotom smo se smejali i divili njegovoj umešnosti da nam za tren oka popravi raspoloženje. Ukoliko ste ljubitelji Lua , ovo štivo morate pročitati!

Superīga grāmata, ko vakaros lasīt priekšā bērniem. Kvalitatīvi uzrakstīti, labi iztulkoti, smieklīgi, neticami, jocīgi stāsti par Kurtu un viņa ģimeni.
Pirmie 3 stāsti ir vienkārši ideāli! Pēdējais ne tik ļoti, vairāk domāts pieaugušajiem. To es tāpat klusībā pie sevis līdz galam izlasīju.
Bet tā kopumā - absolūti rekomendēju!

Pro tentokrát pohádka norského spisovatele, který přispívá převážně k vlně nového naivismu.

Kurt je o chlapíkovi, který se rozhodne seknout s prací a vzít svou rodinu na prázdniny ve chvíli, kdy se na molu jeho pracoviště najde velryba. Když ji dostane domů, zjistí, že se z ryby pohodlně nají celá rodina a nejen dnes, ale i další měsíce. Proto vezmou rybu s sebou a vyrazí na cesty!

Jako pohádka je to kouzelné, ne magické, ale kouzelně milé. Jednoduché. Upřímné. A nejen pro děti.

We got these three books about Kurt as a present from my parents, both because I really wanted to read them and because they will help Tulpesh learn Norwegian. Fisken is the first one, about Kurt the truck driver who finds a huge fish and then goes on an epic journey with his family and the fish. So funny, with amazing drawings! Recommended!

Simpaticna knjiga u kojoj smo uzivali moja deca i ja. Drzala im je paznju i navodila da se bas zanimaju i postavjaju pitanja u vezi dogodivstina glavnih junaka (Kurta i njegove porodice).
Knjiga ovog norveskog pisca je moj prvi susret sa njegovim opusom, nakon ovoga cu definitivno uzeti da procitam i neku knjigu za “starije” od Erlend Luo-a.

Kurt blir grusom er bedre, litt stress å bli overrasket av N-ordet inni der når kidsa er språk-svamper på 4 og 6 år, men drivende morsomt og engasjerende for alle!

I don't know about others, but i wouldn't want my kids to grow up to such stories.
While I like the overall idea of the trip and their transportation choice, most of the adventures are not the one's my child will listen about.
Some moments felt really offensive or just plain too goofy. The characters(other than Kurt himself and his wife) are unappealing on every level.
There are a lot of funny moments in the book, and some of the thoughts are pretty deep, but that's where I see another problem. If the kids have to be at a level where the Indian planning to force-marry Kurt's daughter or the boy that drank soda all the time are funny, then they won't understand the few moments that are actually good about this tale, and if they are supposed to be more sophisticated then why throw so much primitivism at them?

But in the end, I guess it's just the way Earth is nowadays(The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama etc.)

Kurta jocīgā ģimenīte ir feina, un visā visumā autora vēlme nenopietni runāt par nopietnām lietām (naudas vara, vēlēšanas, bēgļi utt.) ir simpātiska. Ilustrācijas, kas atrodamas katrā lapā, ir lieliskas. Mani nokaitināja vien pirmā no četrām grāmatām - "Zivs". Ideja par ceļošanu un reizē pārtikšanu no lielas zivs, ko autokrāvēja vadītājs Kurts atrod savā darbavietā ostā, ir aizraujoša, bet tad, autoraprāt, svarīgākais, ko pateikt par Ameriku, ir tas, ka amerikāņi staigā apkārt ar pistolēm kabatās, par Indiju - tas, ka pirmais satiktais un izpalīdzīgais automehāniķis "paliek traks" un gandrīz ar varu metas precēt Kurta 11-gadīgo meitu, par Spāniju - ka tur cilvēki dursta vēršus... Nu jūs jau sapratāt. Vienīgais īsti simpātiskais personāžs, ko viņi ceļojumā satiek, ir norvēģu slēpotājs Antarktīdā. Tas man nepatika.

This was the first 'Kurt' book published, but the third one I read and it is my third favorite of the series so far.
I have been reading these books to help me learn Norwegian, and they've been good for that purpose. They're quirky and entertaining, the stories are straightforward, and the vocabulary is at a good level for me. Although sometimes the quirkiness of the sentences throws me off. But that's fine!

Outo lasten kirja, joka ei aina tunnu lasten kirjalta. Trukkikuski löytää jättimäisen kalan, ja koko perhe lähtee kalalla purjehtimaan Amerikkaan ja syö kalaa matkaevääksi. Kala ei pilaannu, ja perhe reissaa ympäri maailmaa, kalan huvetessa pikkuhiljaa. Seuraa kulttuurisesti kiusallisia tilanteita, varsinkin Intiassa. Kirja ei ole oikein kestänyt aikaa.
