Basti and Zoe are spending two weeks of their summer holidays with their cousins Debbie and Rick in New York. They have never been to the USA before. Of course they visiti all the famous sights the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Chinatown and Coney Island. But guided by Rick's hunger for adventure, they soon find out that underneath the city there is another world... the secret world of ghost stations and tunnels where light and dark, dirt and art all come together in a strange and sometimes dangerous mix. On one of their trips underground they meet the Professor who takes them back to a New York that doesn't exist anymore...

Wir mussten das Buch für die Schule lesen.
Ich haben glaube ich nur den anfang und ein paar Kapitel zwischen drin gelesen.
Es ist halt ein Schulbuch und da kann man auch nicht sonderlich viel erwarten. Ich fande es persönlich komplett schlecht mir hat es weder von der Story gefallen noch von der Art wie es geschrieben worden ist.
Also die Leute die es auch noch in der Schule lesen müssen mein Beileid.
Deshalb gibt es von mir 1 Sterne

Mussten diesen Müll in der Schule lesen und bereuen es sehr. Diese paar Wochen Englisch Unterricht waren katastrophal. Wären wir nicht dazu gezwungen worden hätten wir das Buch schon nach 2 Seiten in irgendeine Ecke geschmissen. Die Fassung des Buches hat immer nur angefangen, hat sich über mehrere Kapitel gezogen oder wurde nie Vervollständigt. wir würden jedem empfehlen dieses Buch NICHT zu kaufen, solange Sie es nicht müssen. Außerdem hat es 10 Kapitel wo es eigentlich immer um den Freedom Tunnel geht, es kommt drauf an ob Sie mehr über den Freedom Tunnel wissen möchten.

Also KAUFT es NICHT ! sogar 10 € sind dafür die reinste Verschwendung. Wir sind eine 8. Klasse aus Sachsen und haben noch nie so etwas schlechtes gelesen. I read the book 2 years ago with my class, but unfortunately we never finished reading the book. The topic made me always think about the ending of it. So I started reading it again and it was the best desicion of my entire life.

One thing that bothers me:
Well..., One thing was not good. In my opinion the book was too short. I would have liked if the book had been longer. So I would like to see a second part.

Actually a nice story! I liked it. A nice thing, that I liked, that every of them was so different and had his own personality. It was sometimes exciting and I also got to know New York a bit better. 3-3.5⭐️ Not the best but not the worse. :)

The book is OK for a school book, it has some entertaining parts and the story has potential, eventhough it is not fully used. The ending was weird and pretty abrupt, but all in all it is not really bad, just not the greatest.
