Nothing could have prepared me for that almost 20 minute scene between Haratio and Arabella in the last chapter of this audiobook. That scene aside however, I thought the storyline of this book was really good and would be amazing as a full novel/audiobook and/or tv show. The story had history, love and twists and Thomas Doherty was the perfect person to voice Haratio. The environmental sounds featured in the audiobook did a fantastic job at really enhancing the story and making the reader feel as though they were right there with the main characters. This audiobook was good but if it had had a run time of longer than 90 minutes the storyline could have been fleshed out more therefore enhancing the story and making it not just good but amazing. For mainly that reason alone I can only give this audiobook 3 stars
5/5 stars This 100% delivered, first time trying this kind of … audiobook ? Obviously listened because it’s Thomas Doherty narrating the story, but this was much more !! The plot is worked and interesting, the back sounds (electricity, pen on paper, cup of tea..) is incredible and helps to imagine the story. The characters are interesting, I want to know so bad why Horatio will die in a year ? Also want to know more about the Time Machine. The way he says « Miss Ballamy » it’s probably to kill us ! This is a very slowburn romance which made me confortable for the rest of the series 😉
