He also highlights the fundamental weakness of Asian companies - a subject little mentioned in discussions about the Asian crisis.
I literally lived some of this book. I was in Indonesia prior to and during the peak of the Asian Financial Crisis. This book really hit home. If you're interested in the subject read it. If you have no stake or interest it will probably not be very interesting.
