Have to say I was disappointed in the book. Not expecting to become 'enlightened', but the modern day koans were not persuasive enough to lead me to believe that Zen was the transformative factor in the changes individuals made.

I really enjoyed the stories. I found it fascinating that she was complaining in a 1997 book about issues of today.

An interesting book about Zen koans. Although, I do not practice Zen, I wanted to learn more about it. However, this book is not so much for the curious as it is for the practioner. Regardless, the book is filled with lots of wisdom and insights.
