This book has been my morning armchair and coffee companion for the last couple of months and I'm going to miss it tomorrow!
The Intimate Garden tells the story of Gordon and Mary Hayward's own huge garden and how it developed, section by section. There is a map in the front, and lots of pictures.
I loved lots of things about this book, but the thing I liked best was hearing about some of the failures they have had with plants. It's reassuring!
I think everything Gordon and Mary do is of the highest quality, and this book is no exception.
