I was disappointed. I’ve loved his other books but with this one I realized how political he is, how macho his characters are how MAGA his attitudes were even 30 years ago, his pushing of outdated female role models, how preachy he can be and how tedious he can be as he preaches and describes some of the above with filler between his ridiculous military exploits. I wonder which of us has changed more, me or him.
At any rate, my attention span for tales like this was breached and I’ll swear off for a while.

This book was quite hard to understand and although I enjoyed the beginning airplane attack where the 3 military men had to overthrow a hijacked plane while only having one weapon while all 4 hijackers were fully armed. And when they went over the battle strategies to rescue the hostages in a bank. The rest of it was all over the place and I ended up losing interest.

Featuring John Clark, the ex-Navy Seal known from several of Clancy's novels, as the dark side of Jack Ryan, this is Tom Clancy's new and most extraordinary novel. John Clark is the man who conducts the secret missions President Ryan can have no part of. Whether hunting warlords in Japan or druglords in Colombia, Clark is efficient and deadly but even he has ghosts in his past. And nowhere more than the peril he must face in Rainbow Six: a group of terrorists the world has never encountered before. This is Tom Clancy's most shocking story ever - closer to reality than any government would care to admit.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six is the amazing realistic fiction tale of the international anti-terrorism unit Rainbow. It is an amazing book that is a good read as it deals with current issues in terrorsism and other aspects and is easily connected to real-life events. I would reccomend this to anyone who is up for the challenge. It is a great book, but it contains vulgarity, and can at sometimes be confusing as it switches between several characters POVs rapidly. All that in mind though, it is an amazing book and I reccomend anyone to read it.

The philosophical anchor of this book is difficult to determine, as cold hard details just pass by your mind's eye like a crude moving slideshow. Choosing details to highlight just because it pleases superficial values is not what I am used to. I say superficial because there are a lot of things that warrant development and connection with what a man has as reason for doing and whether its is society that motivates him.

The book has a weak beginning and the expressions he picked are trite and not very provocative.

I grew up playing these video games, and after reading the first chapter, I knew that I'd love this novel just as much as the games. The first person action of a seal team excites me to a point where I must run around acting like a killer solider. Nothing but extravagant missions with almost impossible actions done by the team of killers. I would recommend this book to anyone who had a good childhood.

An awesome book combining the intrigue of international espionage with the action of counter-terrorism. The characters are believable in their decision making, in their abilities, and in their limitations. The action is fast paced, and the stakes are high. This one is definitely a favorite of mine, and I consider it a must read for anyone who likes political drama/action.

I loved all the Tom Clancy "Jack Ryan" books! It seemed at the end of the series he stopped writing Jack Ryan books because everything he wrote, came true. The Jack Ryan Jr. books just weren't the sane. I would have loved a Rainbow 6 series...the characters were wonderful and they became like friends! Thank you to Tom Clancy for all the years of wonderful books!
