This is a useful collection for those looking to cut back on granulated sugar, cholesterol, and fat in desserts. By far, the best recipes are the fruit heavy creations. Those based on traditional favorites, such as chocolate chip cookies, end up dry and tasteless. Sometimes it is worth cutting back on portions rather than butter.

I have not made anything from this cookbook myself but have tasted many of the recipes at demonstrations that the author has done and from friends' cooking, and the desserts are quite good.
