The drive toward integration makes TripStone the main target of a Yata out to save her kin in the canyon. Across the region, Crossroads and Basc struggle to maintain a peaceful coexistence, but violations bring them to the brink of all-out war.

About the author

Elissa Malcohn was a 1985 John W. Campbell Award finalist for best new science fiction writer of the year, and made preliminary ballot for a 1989 Nebula Award. Her stories have appeared in Hugo Award winners Asimov's and Electric Velocipede , Bram Stoker Award winner Unspeakable Horror: From the Shadows of the Closet (Dark Scribe Press), IPPY Silver Medalist Riffing on Strings: Creative Writing Inspired by String Theory (Scriblerus Press), and elsewhere. Really enjoying this series. Well written.

Overall I loved this series. This last book was disappointing in that it left to many things unrersolved. I can only hope it means another book in the making!
