a book of conviction and a book of commission. this book is all about how our zeal, purity, and submission to Jesus can burn the fire in our hearts so strongly that a fragrance ensues out of our Spirits and our being.

“friends of God will always make the best workers…we are left with no choice but to simply surrender to His love and allow it to burn us deeply.”

This book I read already before but so refreshing to read it again. Knowing different historical events that impacted nations.

Understanding the heart of ‘Fire and Fragrance’ - that they have as DTS with the organization Youth with a Mission.

Beautiful stories and reminder that we keep our fire and search for more hunger!

This is a book with a very important message for our time.. And it's about one of a very significant movement in modern Christianity. However, the writing is awful, and hyperbole abounds. Words like massive, huge, violent, extreme and tremendous are found in around two thirds of every sentence, and almost half the sentences in the book end with an exclamation mark. Now that's a shame, because when God does something there is no need for exaggeration! The communication is foggy as well, as some sentences are hard to understand or have dual meanings. It has a great message, poorly communicated.

Being on campus where this school is held annually and hearing about burns on campus made me curious what the talk was all about. It was good to read the book and understand the movement. From talking with people on campus the book would probably read differently now if they were to update it less than 10 years later as it's grown a lot, especially in the area of scripture which I found most lacking in this volume.

Not quite the book I was expecting from my Amazon search. The subtitle, "From the Great Commandment to the Great Commission" is what sucked me in. In fact, I would characterize that bit as somewhat misleading. But, if you're interested in how the authors perceive a current, ongoing great revival, then this may be the book for you.
