This book has some beautiful pictures of decks, and some wonderful ideas about the use of low voltage wiring to light decks and steps. Other than that, most of the book is impractical and/or relatively expensive to implement.

A great resource for designing and building decks, with a lot of very well set up pictures and diagrams- Just make sure to check your local building codes as well as the information in the book. Really puts it into perspective for the DIY inclined- And I'll let you know how it goes when we see how long the deck I designed/built from its instructions lasts. Might be a few years, though!

it was better than the previous building books i have read. Although there was not specific descriptions of the matherials, the instructions were nicely illustrated, understandable and helpful.
