He’s a one-man wrecking crew. When he crosses paths with a charismatic lunatic, can he blow away the murderous brainwashing?
Terrence “Trouble” Rubble is trying to outrun his past. And despite his physical and emotional scars, the pessimistic biker puts loyalty first after a longtime friend calls for help protecting a kid. But he’s barely begun casing the house when he’s caught in a lethal gun battle… and the little girl is captured in a bloody snatch-and-run.
Tracking the callous abductors to a fortified compound in New Mexico’s remote peaks, Trouble discovers he’s dealing with a twisted cult. Pitted against a leader and a group of true believers unafraid to die, the tough drifter fears no one will make it out alive.
Can one loner outlaw save the innocent amid a hail of bullets?
The Deadly Divine is the gritty third standalone book in the Trouble series of thrillers. If you like heroes who never back down, page-turning action, and dark humor, then you’ll love Matthew Doggett’s brutal drama.

I was given an advance copy of The Deadly Divine by the author to review.
See that big man over there with the leather jacket on the motorcycle? Looks like trouble, doesn't he? Well, trouble can have two meanings, good trouble or bad trouble.
In the beginning of the 3rd book by Matthew Doggett about Terrence Rubble, known as Trouble to his friends, we see him arriving at a home to help some people save an angelic little girl only to arrive too late. Hearing gunshots in the home, he ends up fighting off armed men while one escapes with the girl.
With no idea of what is truly happening, he gets information from a friend about where she's been taken. He encounters a woman trying to save her sister from the same people who have the girl. Haunted by his past, he is determined to rescue her.
Trouble finds himself tangling with gun-toting disciples of a 700-plus cult and the two soldiers of their deranged Messiah who's hell bent on leaving his mark on the world.
Can one lone biker outlaw with a heart of gold overcome his own fears to save everyone, or will he lose in this fast-paced thriller? I highly recommend you read this and find out in this stand-alone book in the 3 book, so far, series.

Fighting his own demons and trying to make up for something he had no control over while in foster care, Trouble risks all to save imprisoned children and brainwashed adults from a murderous cult.
In order to succeed in his mission, he needs to battle the voices telling him that he isn’t worthy enough, that he should just give up and run away, save himself. But failure is not an option when there is so much at stake.
The Deadly Divine is a well-written, suspenseful, story with non-stop action that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Buckle up, because you're in for one hell of a ride.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Why name a character Trouble? Because that is exactly what he is all about. Trouble is usually in trouble while trying to help someone who's already in trouble. This time he is asked to help someone without having all the details up front and of course this causes all kinds of problems. If you like good writing with interesting stories full of action and suspense then this is the book for you.
My very favorite everyday Hero. Trouble has no superpowers nor is he super rich. Trouble is just an everyday man who grew up rough but has a deep moral code for justice. His kind of justice. The whole series of books are just fantastic reads for all audiences. I can't wait to see where the author takes us to, on Trouble's next adventure.
Matthew has done it yet again. Rather than just keep with a particular story line, Trouble always has different challenges to overcome. The one being a crazy cult. Check this one out, you will enjoy.
