It’s time to play the game… or die. K was not only running out of ways to escape the police.
She was running out of people to trust. She was running out of patience. But most importantly…
She was running out of time.
When she receives a call from the stranger who has kidnapped Lisa and Jeremy, she realizes every step along the way has been a mistake. Now, her friends will die unless she arrives at the requested place and surrenders while a new innocent client expects her aid.
They knew who to hit to hurt K the most, proving that whoever this was, they had followed K from the start, shadowing her every step. Who was this person, and how did they know her real name?
With everything on the line, K has to make an impossible choice: save her friends’ lives or let the people in the next town at danger’s mercy.
The kidnapper anticipates her every move and knows more about her past than herself. They are deadly, and they are coming for her.
K knows she is the only one who can stop them, but when she discovers the identity behind the person orchestrating her undoing, she realizes the truth can be a fate worse than death.

William Baker lives on the West Coast with his wife, son, and their two cats, Tiger and Panther. An avid reader across genres, he gravitates toward mystery and thrillers. Devil's Dolls Series: A book broken into pieces, each a cliffhanger, each quickly read since part is about six chapters. Interesting story lines with gore and action, but simplistic in nature. Entertaining no-brainer with no vulgar language and some silly dialog. K is likeable. The Devil's Origin, prequel pt. 1 - Interesting introduction about K's start. 4* Vengeance in Black, prequel pt. 2 - How K meets Lisa. 3* The Devil's Dollmaker #1 - Interesting but reminds me of a Horror movie I saw in the late Sixties, but much worse. Gory but not graphic to extremes, just enough for visualization. 4* The Silent Watcher #2 - Good vengeance, simplistic but effective. Intriguing side story fully in the works. 4* Trail of Blood #3 - Goodness, the amount of depravity that exists in this section. 4* The Devil's Tale #4 - Good mix of Cozy and simplistic rushing to finish this section. 3* The Devil's Reckoning, #5 - I did not care for this installment. The fight scene, and the previous scene, and the dialog between K and her opponent was boring, unbelievable, actually silly. Will admit the secret at the end of the installment was worth reading this bit. 3* The Devil's Blood, #6 - This segment is an improvement from Reckoning. Good action and mind games. 4* Bad Blood, #7 - New lives. The writing style did not hold my interest. Good story line, though. 3* Touched By Death, #8 - This is as far as I go. The average writing style, the lack of editing, and sometimes the dialogues cannot keep my interest anymore. 3* Devil's Dolls Series end.
With The Devil’s Reckoning, Book 5 in the Devil’s Dolls Series, the overarching plot and story are coming together. This just may be the pivotal episode in the series. All the episodes leading up to this one left me with more questions about “K.” who was she? Where did she come from? How did she come to have all her superpowers? We discover who the silent watcher is. For the first time, an episode ends in a real cliffhanger. The kind of cliffhanger is reminiscent of those old serials that ran between the main features at the movie theater that ended with the villain Snidely Whiplash tying the heroine to the railroad tracks., leaving us to wonder if our hero, Dudley Do-Right, would arrive in time to rescue her from the approaching train. With The Devil’s Reckoning, we have reached the point where we will need to read these episodes in the order in which they were written. This episode leaves us wondering how “K” will get herself out of the dire straits she had found herself in. How will she save herself and her friends? We know she does because there are more books in the series. We just don’t know how she does it. For once, I’m in the same boat as you are. I will have to read the next book in the series to find out. I already have The Devil’s Blood, Book 6, in my downloads, so I don’t have to wait. See you there!
K receives a call from a stranger who had kidnapped Lisa and Jeremy, she realises that her friends would die unless she arrived at the requested place and surrender but one innocent person expects her aid too. The person who had her friends knew her name and where to hurt her most . It seemed that he was keeping track of every move she made. Finding out who this was is more dangerous than she thought.A very exciting and chilling read witha lot of suspense to the end. I received this book free and leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers.
Book 5 in the series picks up right where book 4 left off. This one, however, is a bit different than previous books in the series. K is not in charge anymore. A cryptic phone call, made on Lisa's phone, leads K to a challenge she had no inkling was coming. Great entry into the series. I received a free advance reader's copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Wow! What did I just fall into? It seems like this book was a trip into another dimension. I was shocked to find out why Lisa and Jeremy were take . K had no memories until the trauma of what was goin caused them to come slamming back to her consciousness. Now on to who K really is.
Once again K find herself in such a crazy predicament. And what makes things even more crazy is she is doing things she knows is wrong in the hopes she can save her friends. It was a crazy set up for the season one final of the books. Cant wait to see what happens next.
K is assigned to another town but gets a disturbing call from Lisa's phone. Lisa and Jeremy are kidnapped and K decides to find them. What she finds out shocks her to her very core. A gut wrenching book which is enthralling.
K gets word that her friends Jeremy and Lisa have been kidnapped and the perpetrator wants to meet K in order to get her friends back. A thriller with a cliff hanger.
I like the storyline just was too quick to the end. You get to know the characters then punchline you find the culprit. I received this book but leave my review voluntarily.
Love it. Finally we’re getting some answers and I can’t wait to read the next one. Well written, page turner, great characters. Good job. I received a copy and voluntary leaving a review.
