I have read a lot of leadership books but Learning to Lead People Effectively in Global Business Situations by Wesley Donahue is certainly one of the books that awed me. It basically centers around leading people with different nationalities and cultures. For me it is so relevant as I work in a company with a diverse set of employees. I can totally relate with most of the things that were mentioned here. In a company or any institution where leadership is required, it is very important to consider the members' culture, beliefs and even religions. It is through this understanding that you make them feel respected which will earn you back their respect and cooperation to make your business succeed. The book was very well-written and I loved that there were questionnaires included to get you to think actively while learning at the same time.

Learning To Lead People Effectively in Global Business Situations by Dr. Wesley Donahue is another Competency Based workbook of his, aimed primarily at leaders.
In this particular book, a correct leadership is important when leading global businesses. The importance of global businesses is that you find yourself managing a diverse workforce, in that sense, the book shows what you need to manage it correctly and the use of industry-based competencies.
Concepts such as cultural context and change management are major bullet points to know when leading an international company.
The book offers structural content in a way that makes the information more approachable and easy to understand.
For managers, leaders, or businesses in general, I would highly recommend this book!

This is a workbook and I suspect a companion to a class.
I found this to a good guide to developing effective leadership. It focuses on the challenges caused by differing cultures. The book is well researched and the assertions made are well documented. With 15 years in middle management, so many of the statements in the book rang true and familiar. I learned some new things but it also brought clarity to some things I’d known only intuitively.
My only complaint is that it is a bit long and repetitive. Otherwise this can be an effective tool for growth as a leader.
