In her first year at Acyala Academy Damara was torn between returning home and choosing her heritage, but the struggle to choose isn’t over in her second year. With her mother's threat that she will be hunted still hanging in the air, a threat from Droskyn, and the Deathlock brothers coming to the academy, Damara is no closer to deciding what her destiny holds. As a series of games is introduced to Acyala, secrets will be revealed, new monsters are brought to life, and things are going to change for Damara. Through the madness one question Will Damara accept her new fate as Prostatis or will she return to Sundsvall as a member of the royal family?
I LOVED this sequel. Same magic system as the first, this one was less world building and much more getting deeper into the characters and story. No spoilers, but the end has me anxiously awaiting book 3! If you enjoy the Crave series, high fae books, and you don’t demand graphic spice then you’ll really enjoy this series.
This book!!!! IT. HAS.IT.ALL!!! Secretes, betrayals, a love story, fated mates, forced proximity, enemies to friends to lovers (it is YA so there is no spice), and an amazing coming of age story. You get to continue the story of following the FMC as she comes into her power, accepts the unexpected reveal of what she is, make friends with people who should have been her enemies and slowly fall in love with the last man she ever expected to love. The ending will leave you reeling for what will happen next, how it will all play out, and if they will all make it out in the end!!! I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book!!! (Impatiently waiting for it to be released… it cannot come soon enough!!!)
Oh boy! So much for a light-hearted fantasy world! This one turned dark real fast! Stepping back into the magical school. We quickly learn that not all is what it appears. Fated mates, secrets, betrayals, and last but not least. One too many royal kids. I can't wait for book 3!
Oh my! What the heck!!! I want to start by saying this book was fascinating. I love the world, the magic system, the characters and the grown up Harry Potter feel. The ending left me wondering on a cliff ready to jump just to read more. I’m honestly not sure how I am going to survive until the next book comes out! To say I loved this book is an understatement.
Amazing second book. I am loving the backstory we are getting on characters and how we are seeing relationships change. An ending I never saw coming has me ready for the next book!
