World-class chef Jacques Rousseau owns Chicago's Chez Rousseau, the premiere restaurant in the country. The chef finds himself the target of a bent, evil food critic and a corrupt real estate developer, both of whom are wildly intent on shutting down Rousseau's business and brand, by any means necessary.
None of them are prepared for the cold forces behind Rousseau's dark power, known as...The Standard.
This is an excellent read. This thrilling plot revolves around restaurants and the culinary world. The characters are developed well and have unique personalities. There are no dull moments. I enjoyed the suspense and top class dishes described in exquisite detail. The author truly has a mind of a chef and a mystery writer wrapped in one. I’m eager to see what he dishes out in the next book.
This book is really good especially the food and beverages he wrote from a characters restaurant I could not put it down to read this book. Highly recommended .
