I can’t find an English version of this but I definitely did not read it in Korean. Honestly, I wish I could read another language.
I really liked Eunkyum’s backstory and how his previous relationships really affected him.
What I did not like was Jihyuk was a bit too forceful and didn’t really take ‘no’ for an answer.
After all Eunkyum went through, if he says no, it should be taken as ‘no’. Not ‘you don’t really mean that’.
The further into this story I went, the more red flags I saw.
Jihyuk was SO jealous of all of Eunkyum’s friends and always wanted to be with him.
I read a bit of a self interview the creator did and what I gathered, that was kind of the point of this story. The creator liked in charge ‘tops’. It just felt a little controlling. Especially given Eunkyum’s history.
There is a 10+ chapter spin-off where Eunkyum is a cute bunny and Jihyuk is a tiger (who E was originally terrified of) set a couple hundred years ago maybe?
It’s more of the same with a touch more aggression on Jihyuk’s part. Plus an Eunkyum who is literally scared for his life, not able to say what he’s really thinking.
Until Jihyuk beats the crap outta someone (who was bullying E) and that makes Eunkyum really believe in their relationship!
Okay, I will say the flashback where E and J had met when they were sweet little babies was cute but it didn’t make me forget that I’m not a fan of Jihyuk’s behaviour.
On a positive note, Danbi, the creator, draws chibi/chubby-faced little kids characters really well.
The story was made because it’s 100% what Danbi wanted to create. Which is good, that means they enjoyed working on it.
I just wish it had a little more substance.

not entirely sure what to think of this one lmao... at least there was some character development towards the ending, but the pacing was a little bit bumpy, and i feel like a lot of the plot points weren't properly resolved but the plot kept moving as if they had been resolved(??), left a bit to be desired in a kinda frustrating way i have to say.......also it didn't seem like their relationship was actually based on anything in particular, they were just suddenly a couple???
side story was cute tho 🐯🐰

I loved this!! So beautiful and I love the character designs. I need a whole 20 more vol. please!
