Normally I do not review books that contain the teachings of others concerning God. I don't believe anyone much less me should be judging the beliefs of others, especially when you don't know the Author or his/her works well enough to form an educated opinion. Thus, I will not be evaluating the biblical content contained in this book.

I actually got this book for research into another project I'm working on and have had it for some time. The chapter I was interested in was the one on time travel and a brief explanation of quantum mechanics in relation to time. For the brief explanation found in this book, that chapter was very informative.

This is my first foray into Perry Stone, (a Walmart favorite) and lets just say I'm not in any hurry to get another of his books (sorry Walmart). I agree with most of his assumptions that are based on the Scriptures. Stone lists the Scriptures enabling further research and is quite clear on his assessment of the Scriptures referred to.

The problems with this book and unfortunately many like it in the genre is that one, it's whole purpose in being is to be an answer book on the afterlife, again sensationalizing and capitalizing on man's fascination with the afterlife. Why don't we just go to the source instead of reading another man's interpretation. The second and much more important problem the book has is there is quite a bit of conjecture and author's opinions written throughout his explanation of the "Secrets". Shouldn't the basis for Biblical guides be completely biblical based?

To be fair to the Author, some of the subjects covered only have a couple of scriptures to draw from. Stone demonstrated in this book a willingness to be a Bible Answer Man. I'm not sure if this is in all of his books but in this book the answers seem a bit redundant due to the fact that he covers the material in the chapters. It appears in this book there is quite a bit of "stretching out" to make it book length.

Overall this work is a decent research help, but as something just to enjoy reading, you'll enjoy it a whole lot more by checking it out of the library then spending money to buy it.

Perry Stone is a thorough researcher who offers insights that are missed by most people. As a result, many obscure verses in the Bible that do not seem to make sense suddenly become clear -- such as those describing gates in the ocean or how Judas could have repented of betraying Jesus and still gone to Hell.

In this review, I am using the term "Hell" generically to include all levels of Hell including Sheol, Tartarus, Gehenna, etc. because I feel the more specific uses in this review would cause confusion to most readers. Perry Stone differentiates between these regions in detail. However, these are all regions of eternal torment and separation from God.

I trust his interpretations of Hebrew and Greek which change the traditional interpretations to ones which make a lot more sense, such as Job 26:5 "Dead things (rapha) are formed from under the waters." He explains that "dead things" are really interpreted as Raphaim or giants and the Hebrew word for "formed" can be translated as "writhe in pain". So he uses this as one of the many references to prove that Hell exists under the waters (under the mountains in the lowest subterranean chambers) where the Raphaim and possibly the fallen angels who left their first estate are found.

He goes into a lot of detail to show that there are probably 12 entrances and gates into Hell, each equally spaced across the globe, with the Bermuda Triangle being one of them. He explains the physics and geology of these entrances and gives examples of people who have come close to these gates. He explains the most logical reason for the Lake of Fire being the south end of the Dead Sea, again explaining how the current geology is a precursor to the visible Lake of Fire of the millenium. In other words, he does not simply explain Hebrew and Greek, but he studies prophecy and geology to show how these different aspects of Hell fit nto the real world. He references his comments from scientific literature.

Do I agree with everything he writes? No. But I haven't found a book that I agree with completely. There are even translations of the Bible that I do not agree with completely. That does not stop me from reading a book. I always learn a lot from Perry Stone.

I find sometimes that he gets carried away too fast in his writing and fails to fill in information that would be helpful or he leaves a topic before finishing it, only to return to it later. I do sometimes find Perry Stone a bit confusing, but I think that is because he thinks faster than he talks (or writes) and is so anxious to complete his material that he is sometimes not completely clear.

I also find that he sometimes offers theories (in an attempt, I suppose, to think out loud, to find an answer to a question that he is unsure of). I appreciate that kind of honesty, but I want someone who can tell me what IS, not what he thinks it is. I believe that the Bible contains the answers to all of these questions.

But these theories do give opportunities for people to think about these issues, which is better than omitting them. However, I would rather read a book that already has the answers.

I have read books which prove that no spirit or energy form disappears after death, which means that everything living exists after death, including Nephilim to which God did not give a spirit, and including all animals including pets, etc. These spirit or energy forms must go somewhere after their physical bodies die. They are drawn by forces of energy to one region or the other, either Heaven or Hell. God does not send people to Hell; they are drawn there by their similar energy. God cannot stop them from going there any more than He can stop people from being "drawn" to Heaven. God established the energy laws of the universe and He cannot break them. Yes, people have spirits, "half-people" like Nephilim have spirits, but animals have only souls (mind, will and emotion). But the soul is an energy form and it does not disappear into nothingness on death. The soul of horses is the same as dogs; horses are in Heaven, so dogs will be there also. This is not a matter of opinion; it is physics. If horses exist in Heaven, dogs will follow the same rules of quantum physics and be in Heaven. If horses fall down a cliff because of gravity, so will dogs... the laws of physics apply the same to all living forms that have souls.

So in my opinion, there are gaps in this book.

However, it answers more questions than most people probably have ever had about death, Heaven and Hell, from aborted babies and young children, to the exact reception that you will get in Heaven, how you are escorted to Heaven, whether cremation or dying in a fire means that you cannot be resurrected, the location and shape of Heaven, portals or wormholes to Heaven, the Books in Heaven about you, how your rewards will be determined, the actual different judgments, the kind of "body" we have after death compared to our glorified bodies at Jesus' return, what we will do in Heaven and during the millenium, the difference between our lives and those of the people who live through the tribulation and continue in the millenium, the effect of entering 3 dimensions on Jesus as He was born into this world and even as He returned after His resurrection, the reason that God hears us and answers even before we speak (it is possible for particles to move so fast that they arrive before they leave... quantum physics ... David van Koevering), the 11 or more dimensions of eternity, etc. etc. etc.

If there is a question about Heaven that is not in this book, I do not know what it could be. I think that he has tried to answer every question that anyone could possibly have about Heaven or Hell.

Will you agree with every interpretation? Probably not. But this book will make you think about questions you might never have considered and you will learn much from it.

It is one of Perry stone's best books.

“Secrets From Beyond the Grave” is not, by any means, a casual read. Perry Stone shares concepts on Heaven and Hell that are more than just thoughts or opinions. They are deeply researched ideas that he supports with scripture.
Christians believe that we will spend eternity in either heaven or hell. Yet, most of us have many questions about eternity. If you have any questions on this subject, they are surely to be answered in these pages. Perry Stone gives his learned opinions of where heaven and hell are, who will go to each, what will be known by the occupants and what we will look like.
I, personally, don’t know if all of his opinions are right but it gives me plenty to consider and study. I also believe Stone to be a knowledgeable Bible scholar who has spent many hours in the Word of God. This book should be read slowly and intently with the purpose of meditating on the concepts presented here. This would be great for a group study or as a text for a course in a Bible School. “Secrets From Beyond the Grave” is definitely worth the time and effort to study. Again, this is not an easy read but is chock full of good information.

This the first book I have read by Pastor Perry Stone but it will not be my last. Everything he writes is backed up by scripture and well researched. He has definetly given me better insight and understanding when it comes to the many questions that we all have of what awaits us beyond the grave. Highly recommended.

This book contains a fair amount of belief masquerading as knowledge.

I noticed that some of the reviews (of this and similar books) say "I never knew" and "I'm glad to know now that..."

Please indulge me in a grammar lesson:

"Knowledge"--What I have experienced. (I know that God is good and God is love; I've experienced that goodness and love.)

"Belief"--What I have never experienced, but judge to be true by observation or by choosing to concur with something I hear another person express. (I believe--because I've read it in the Scripture and I believe the Scripture, and because I have experienced His inexplicable mercy on countless occasions--that God will not cast away forever, and that hell will eventually be destroyed along with death and all the other works of darkness.)

Any doctrine (e.g. a literal endless fiery punishment) which plants fear in the heart of a child is suspect to me. I believe such doctrines are false.

Do I KNOW they're false?

Nope. 😏

My mother-in-law let me borrow this book a long time ago and I read chapter one. I got distracted and never finished it so I decided to actually sit down and read it from start to finish.

I’ve always been interested in the topic of the afterlife so I learned a lot from this book! I didn’t realize that hell existed here under the Earth and there were openings to it spread parallel throughout the world such as the Bermuda Triangle & the Dead Sea. I didn’t know that in the rapture, we would be getting a body made from the dust. I thought we would just be a spirit. I didn’t know that the areas we gravitate to here on Earth translate to the kind of place we will live in Heaven such as someone living in a big building that loves the city.

It’s okay, I think a more organized approach would be better. And I have more questions, doubt he could answer them. I guess it’s a good start.

Imaginative. Scripture Focused. Thought provoking. It starts author-focused, but becomes better oriented in Scripture as it progresses.

No matter what your personal beliefs may be, this book should inspire you to read, think about and discuss the Bible. I was fortunate enough to win a copy from Goodreads Giveaways. It's packed with quotes or chapter and verse references that the author uses to support his views. I'm sure that no one will totally agree with all that Perry Stone has written, but you'll have plenty to ponder long after you've finished reading his book.

Stone leans more toward literal interpretations of the King James version. He places hell beneath the surface of planet Earth and names the various gateways conveniently spaced around the world like subway entrances. He even writes about a scuba diver who thought he could hear sounds coming from the underworld while diving in the Bermuda Triangle.

As a Bible scholar, Stone takes the time to explain alternate translations of various words readers of the Bible usually take for granted. For example, the word "kill" in the sixth commandment should be translated as "murder." That way killing in self-defense is not a sin.

Mr. Stone doesn't claim to be a prophet. There are many lines like this one from page 180: "Since scripture is silent as to whether there will be pets in heaven, it is best to leave the issue up to the Lord, and we can all say, 'We'll see in the future.'" (Perhaps some of the other reviewers missed that!)

If you read this book it won't matter if you agree or disagree with any or all of it. Either way you'll find yourself thinking about what you read as you return to the Bible and seek other sources to support your own beliefs.

Take your time and read this book slowly. Devour every word, stop and ponder every paragraph, and isolate yourself for an hour or two after you have read a chapter. Think about what you have just read.

Of course, if you have never considered the reason or reasons for your existence here on planet Earth, this reading will be difficult. If you have never given any thought to where you will be spending eternity, the perusal of truths listed in this volume will perplex you. And, if you believe in the superiority of man over God and can explain every nuance of man's dismal record of civilization, you may as well continue hopelessly on.

Jonathan Edward's dangling of the human spirit, along with Satan and his followers, over the Lake of Fire, located near or under the Dead Sea, can be interesting, to say the least. Intermediate heaven, paradise, the millennium, the rise of the true AntiChrist, the Son of Perdition, easily capture the imagination and keep you fascinated as to what God, through the Holy Spirit, and through his son Jesus Christ, have in store for mankind at the end of times.

The author is convincing, although men and women of glib tongue can easily dispel many of the author's claims, in their minds, at least. Such is the beauty of God's creation of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Many of us believe, and gloriously so, for we cannot imagine eternity not only without God, but also our beloved pets.

I read this book after months of prodding by my deeply religious mom. Ever want to know what the bible says about heaven or hell? What does it say about where great grandpa is after he died? Was my dad lying when he told me that my first dog had gone to heaven after it was killed by a drunk driver? Perry Stone knows the answers and is prepared with the chapter and verse to back his opinions. I found this a difficult read. The sequence of chapters seemed jumbled and I didn't think the writing was anything to write home about. Stone fortunately included an extensive list of chapter notes at the end of the book to remind me where I was and help me to understand where he was taking me along this zig-zag path to understanding Stone's understanding of the secrets beyond the grave. Bible verses and a few near death experiences of others are shared and implied to be evidence in support of Stone's positions. It would be fun to sit down with a group that also read this book to debate and discuss the content and messages. Of course the axiom is that to enjoy this work one must first accept that the bible (new and old testaments)are divinely inspired and that at least a few parts are meant to be taken literally. Okay I told mom I would read this book and now I'm good to my word.

this book has a lot of assumptions and personal opinions. Though it is a good effort on the part of the author to delve into this part of life which is least touched on. The initial chapters however, i consider irrelevant. This is because if we were meant to know the locations of Heaven and Hell, we would have been shown and moreover should the claims of this book be true, what could we even do with or about such locations-magnets and Asia and Bermuda plus other irrelevant stuffs. This book is like an orange, eat the edible part...you know what to do with the rest.

I believe this is the first Perry Stone work that I have read. Mixed feelings about it. He supports his thinking with lots of scripture, but you can do that with a lot of things. May want to give it some time to brew and then reconsider it.
