One of my favorite ever since I bought a shiny new copy at the school fair in the 1960s. Choo-Choo, somewhat like Sparky in another sweet children's book, is sad because he's become old and no longer useful. The happy ending for Choo-Choo as well as Sparky in that similar book is that they find a way to become needed once more.
Very appealing color illustrations accompany this dear story.

would be very appealing to most children.
The illustrations are appropriate as well
as being incredibly cute.
