Learning yoga helps people tone their bodies, release stress, and improve their health, and for children, also offers a way to channel their natural exuberance. The exercises provided here promote flexibility and develop concentration, posture, and co-ordination, benefitting children and parents alike. With the onset of puberty, yoga can balance emotions and aid children in coping with the stresses of everyday life. For the very young, animal poses are used to keep their attention, encourage healthy development, and boost their creative urges. For children aged eight up, a series of dynamic poses is included to burn off energy, increase concentration, and build confidence. Group exercises that explore their senses and improve their breathing are also included. Yoga Fun is an indispensable guide for the whole family to enjoy a fun and healthy workout.

After a quick flip through this book I was very disappointed to discover their was no mention of toddlers in it, despite the title. The instructions begins for children age 3 and up. The book covers a lot of yoga philosophy in detail which is great to know but many parents/yoga leaders may want to skip through this part as a five year old may not be too interested in chakras anyway. What is nice about this book is the ideas for making yoga more fun for kids by linking poses to animals or objects they can represent. The group yoga section has some interesting ideas too. Overall it's a good resource but as the mother of a 14 month old I found the title very misleading and was disappointed it didn't have any advice for younger children.
