I really really like this author because her books are always dealing with very touchy topics.
This is a kind of biography for Kabuki actor, Ebizo Ichikawa.
However in this book, his wife is featured as a wife, helper, servant and his lover. She always struggles with the difficulties but she got over those problems with her humble attitude and modest life style.
I highly recommend this book if you are interested in!
