Ελληνική κριτική σύντομα στις βιβλιοαλχημείες.
I read this book as a required read at school. I reread it on my own years later.
Its 3rd reread last November was ideal because it pulled me out of the reading slump I had fallen.
I read it in one sitting because it's actually a 60+ pages novella narrating the personal experiences of a war prisoner and later a fugitive.
When the Greek forces were defeated by the Turkish in Asia Minor a majority of men were captured and sent to labour camps. No more than 10% manage to survive or escape those camps.
The protagonist is one of the lucky ones, and you feel a constant threat always in the air as long as he is in the enemy's territory.
If you every find this novella give it a go. Quite extraordinary.
