About the author

Among other things, I was an English major in college and so I know that I'm supposed to write things like, "Ilsa J. Bick is ." Except I hate writing about myself in the third person like I'm not in the room. Helloooo, I'm right here . . . So let's just say that I'm a child psychiatrist (yeah, you read that right)as well as a film scholar, surgeon wannabe (meaning I did an internship in surgery and LOVED it and maybe shoulda stuck), former Air Force major—and an award-winning, best-selling author of short stories, e-books, and novels. Believe me, no one is more shocked about this than I . . . unless you talk to my mother.

Från början en eBok men jag läste den i samlingsutgåvan Wounds, där den var den andra av sex böcker om samma skepp, skeppet da Vinci. Till skillnad från boken närmast före denna (Malefictorum) var detta en bok som höll spänningshalten uppe för exakt varenda rad, där det verkligen hände något nytt hela tiden. Sällan läser jag en bok som gör att jag efter bokens slut flämtar efter andan, men så gjorde denna. Det var mycket positivt med detta och då boken är som de flesta av denna bokseries böcker uppdelad i många små kapitel gör det att spänningen hålls på topp hela tiden då man samtidigt kan vara på flera sällen nästan simultant med olika delar av berättelsen. Författaren är bra på få med ingående karaktärsbeskrivningar utan att det blir för påklistrat eller ytligt och berättelsen är som ni har förstått mycket spännande en riktig nagelbitare. Att boken berör ett spegeluniversum skadar ju heller inte... Betyget blir 10 av 10.

star trek does parallel universe stories so well!
loved gomez and duffy, loved gul garak as well as how kira is awesome in every single universe.
also, was this the mirror universe, or another parallel universe? pretty sure it's just another parallel one. i'd like that more

Lots of complex stuff with this one. Sometimes the time plots and alternate realities get frustrating, but this story got the balance pretty right. Nice to get back to DS9 as well. This series of stories around the station over several books is an interesting idea.
