H is the kindest, gentlest, most compassionate and understanding hero that I’ve seen in a long time. The h was lucky to find him, especially after her abusive first marriage.

Not great. Started off well, the heroine has a past she is running away from and the hero is attracted to her from the start. She works for him and he is quite gentle with her so he wins her heart. Then it sort of goes downhill from there - she has stupid fears, stupid because instead of being afraid of her ex-husband for his violence she is more afraid of what he will 'reveal' about her past! So she doesn't confide in Her new husband who loves her and instead almost ruins her second marriage by allowing him to misunderstand the situation between her and her ex. And in playing right into the hands of her evil ex husband each time. She is too stupid. So it lost a star.

The romance novel, Man Shy, by Valerie Parv is set in 1980’s New Zealand. Alita meets Taggart a rich rancher who gives her the fresh start she wants with a new job after her recent divorce. Steve is her first husband and is a gambler that is looking for trouble. This book is a quick read and details an interesting way to make a living while falling in love with the man dreams are made of.
