Through one or two clever flip-art sequences she morphs into her alter ego, the leather-clad biker sexpot, Vicki the Biker. In this fourth Rose is Rose collection, Rose's playful nature is complemented by her son Pasquale's wild dream life and the constant devotion from her adoring husband Jimbo. The strip has received many accolades, including the prestigious Wilbur Award from the Religious Public Relations Council, and has been nominated five times for Best Newspaper Comic Strip by the National Cartoonists Society. Rose is Rose appears in over 500 newspapers. Fans will find this newest collection completely irresistible!

I love this series. It is heartwarming and artistic. This particular book is a good blend of the first 15 years. A real mix of all we have come to know and love.
I highly recommend it.

A collection of strips. Plus a few pages about the origin and history.

Light, sweet, with Rose and Jimbo, and their son Pasquale and his guardian angel, the neighbor baby Mimi, the cat Peekaboo, and the selfish Clem.

We have Peekaboo as a yogi master, Pasquale in his dreamship, getting ice cream cones, not winning anything in the lottery, and more.

I found the comics section in the children's room at the Lewiston Library. I love Rose is Rose cartoons because they are so cute and sweet. A whole book of them at once was almost overkill though, mostly because they keep returning to the same ideas. The ones with Peekaboo are my favorites.

Okay, I read a lot of comics. Yes, even 'Rose is Rose' and 'For Better or Worse'.

Incredibly sweet, perhaps unbearably so for some. But it invariably cheers me up and makes me think maybe the world is going to be okay.
