A writer of action thrillers and adventures, mostly WWII inspired by secret agents of the SOE. My first book, "Resistance" (2007) was short-listed for the Branford-Boase Award, and my highly-acclaimed award-winning Special Operations Series (4 titles) has been followed by various short-format illustrated EDGE titles for Franklin Watts (Hachette). I am currently working on a swashbuckling novel set during the Glorious Revolution of 1688.

BOOK 2: DEATH RAY This sequel also shows the grim reality of Nazi occupied Europe, through the eyes of 16 year old friends Finn Gunnerson, Loki Larson and Freya Haukelid. They have been resourceful and desperate enough to escape to England from Nazi-controlled Norway, though their families have been arrested in Norway as part of the Resistance. Inducted into Special Operations so they can carry on hidden resistance work, the trio are old enough to know that the stakes are deadly and they will never really know who their true friends are - as betrayals are an everyday part of the gargantuan struggle to turn the tide of the war. They end up in France, trying to help thwart the Nazi supertechnology that is slaughtering Allied airmen. The notes provided at the end by author Craig Simpson are a surprise - some of the more high-pitched parts of the plot are based on fact and real events. Simpson provides enough back-story in the plot so that if the first book in the series hasn't been read, this book can stand alone.Again, not for younger readers. http://www.craigsimpsonbooks.com/pdfs...
