Si Dios contigo, quien contra ti?

As the most popular host of her own political talk show on the ever-growing channel Mega TV, Maria Elvira has built a reputation on being direct and authentic with her audience. She has always said that the source of her strength and passion is from God, and in this book she shows everyone, no matter what their Christian beliefs are, they can find confidence and self-awareness by embracing their relationship with a higher power.

Bilingual review. I read the book in Spanish; not sure whether it has been translated to English.

Really liked this one! I try to read as many books in Spanish as possible, to maintain/enhance my skills in the language. In that sense, the book was a bit of a disappointment. Ms. Salazar has lived most of her life in Miami, and her language is peppered with Anglicisms. I wouldn't go so far as to call it Spanglish, but neither is it entirely authentic Spanish. The book itself, however, was fascinating. She has a unique behind-the-scenes story, and her rock-solid faith in God shines through clearly. There does seem to be a bit of prosperity gospel mixed in, which is a detriment in my personal opinion, but her testimony is sincere, enthusiastic, and solidly Bible-based. Highly recommend.
