A disturbing read. Gives a real sense of the confusion of infantry combat. Seems odd that the assault on Mount Longdon was a night time action but that we had far fewer infrared sights than the Argentinians. Revealing opinions from the men who fought but looking back 30 years - feels like they were shocked by their experience and nearly all had left within 2 years of the conflict ending. Unsettling to think that soldiers are going through this today in the Ukraine and elsewhere.
