The stories in this collection were, overall, well-written. However, they were not all that interesting. And many were long. Too long. Although I did much enjoy one of the longer stories, I can't recommend the collection, it being comprised, if I mentioned, of too many stories being too long and not all that interesting. As a bonus, the book is very long in and of itself, providing ample room for many stories that are too long, and, also, not that interesting.
Tombs, edited by Edward E. Kramer. Hit-and-miss story collection from White Wolf. The hits were worth slogging through the misses, though, and I got this off the deep discount rack at the local game store, so final tally is a win.
I was surprised, I can't tell a lie. At first I was not expecting very much from this book, and, indeed, some short stories are extremely boring, but there are others that are extremely awesome, so it levels itself out. A good book.
This book is an anthology of stories about 'tombs', some literal, some figurative. Like all stories collections, this book is good, bad, and indifferent. I skimmed through about one-third of the stories because they didn't interest me at all. Of those I read thoroughly to the end, some were OK, but nothing memorable. A few, however, were so intriguing that I was led to research other books by those authors. So, all in all, this book is a pretty successful anthology.
