OK, I admit I totally got sucked into this book. I bought it as a birthday present for my mother, who is into wiccan/occult/new age stuff. I actually bought it as a *mistake*, thinking that Rosemary Altea is an author my mother likes, although she's never heard of her. Before I wrapped the book, I sort of flipped through the pages wondering, "What is this stupid thing about anyway?" Fast-forward six hours, and I was tired, achy, working on a sunburn, having sat on the front stoop of the house devouring the thing. What's it about? Think Dan Brown readability meets the 12 zodiac signs of the horoscope meets Jung's sixteen personality types meets some peony or pansies or whatever Victorian fairy flower Altea throws in by way of bad poetry for a structure, and you about have it. I don't believe a word the book says, but it should count for my book pledge at least. My mother liked it.

I first heard of Rosemary on Coast to Coast AM and apparently she has a spirit guide who helps her direct her gift of seeing & talking to the dead. I haven't read the book about him yet, but he told her about the 13 types of souls there are in the world so she wrote a book about them. It was interesting enough and I found out what my Soul Sign is. Basically, there are different ways our energies flow and fundamental differences we each have that affect how we deal with the our lives and each other. It was an interesting read.

Started out strong, lots of really good, relateable information. I started to get a bit turned off by the chapter on pet souls. Not that I don't believe in animals having souls, but I just found it was dragged out a bit more than was needed. Overall, very interesting, worth a read if you are interested in that subject matter.

I found this book extremely confusing. I understand where Altea is coming from, but trying to zero in on your particular soul sign, or that of your loved ones, is not easy according to the directions she sets out here. I expected more.

This book is intriguing. It gives you the tools to type yourself and your family and friends; it explains a lot about why people are the way they are and how you can improve your life and your relationships with others.

This book was ok. I think I would have liked it more if I knew more about the women who wrote it. I have a hard time believing in what she says since I have never read any of her other books. But it was interesting none the less.
