So you stumbled across this book. Maybe you've never heard of David McAfee. You're thinking: should I chance a buck on this or buy one-tenth of something famouser? First of all, famouser isn't a word. Second, stop thinking and click the buy button. I guarantee you won't be sorry.

I've been reading and writing horror most of my life, and I've paid for a lot of stinkers. This isn't one of them. McAfee's flash fiction is expertly honed, and the longer stories rank right up there with the works of Richard Laymon and Brian Keene. The tales are fun, disgustingly delicious, and unforgettable.

This is big-time horror for a small-time price. Do yourself a favor and give McAfee a try. Then go read everything else he's written. That's my plan anyway.

David's writing amuses me LOL! Let me explain...this is an anthology of little horror stories and a super quick read but well worth the .99!

The author is writing a really gross story one minute and mixes it up with a stupid campy horror story next. (I say stupid in a good way!)

I liked that because I never knew what was coming. There are several that I'd love to see as longer tales or full length horrors. David has a great imagination so I hope to see more work like this

This was a book of extremely short horror stories. Most only 100 words including the title. A few stories were a little longer, and they were pretty much the only saving grace. They were mildly entertaining. This was my first time reading "flash fiction" and I guess I'm just not a fan. To me, the 100 word stories were like a punchline without a joke.... or maybe just the joke. Not very satisfying.

I enjoyed this short story collection by David McAfee. I'm glad I read the author's introduction or I would've been confused by the layout of the stories which was set up in a 100-word EXACTLY (including title) format. The story by David Dalgish took the rating from a 3-star to a 4-star review...wow. Great ending to a very good collection of short stories. I look forward to reading more by this author.

a bizarre collection of horror stories some creepy, some corny, but 16 of the stories are 100 words. I have to admit I was quite intrigued with the idea of a complete story written in 100 words so I had to buy it. I was not disappointed by the collection. I recommend this book for fans of horror whether you like short stories or full length novels. The last story was of normal short story length and was a nice compliment to the rest of the collection. Treat yourself to a real surprise.

I have grown somewhat addicted to short short fiction and the 100 word fiction called "drabble".
This is a nice collection, but one or two of these I had to reread because with the word limit, I occasionally missed a twist. There's a few non drabbles in here too, still very short fiction but longer than 100 words.

Read these because I like the concept. Most of 100 word stories and I was interested to see what the author could do in 100 words and wouldn't mind giving it a crack myself. Some stories gave my a chuckle, some seemed to be senseless gore, and I wanted a few to be longer but had to roll my eyes a couple times. A good cheap option if one wants to kill an hour or so.

I really enjoyed the longer stories, but found the 100-word ones very hit and miss.
