A quite different way of thinking about drawing. Not the usual analytical approach but one based more on intuition and emotion. Contains a lot of (probably) valuable lessons for someone starting out.
Definitely different and definitely worth looking at

This book is less of a how-to manual of drawing and more of a treatise of the principles of putting marks on paper. Many examples of the great artists of the West as well of Asia are strewn through the book. It was an illuminating read.
