The gruff demon Scor maintains a tenuous position in the human settlement that’s guarded by incubi. He intended on killing their leader Figaru with his lover Rowan. It was only when Rowan revealed he would devastate many others in the settlement that Scor switched sides. With Rowan dead Scor is utterly alone. Jinady, the betrothed of Figaru, promised to give himself to Scor if he saved Figaru’s life. The demon takes him, and then decides not to let go. He’s lost everything for Figaru. Jinady should belong to him now in return. To the surprise of the entire settlement–Figaru agrees! The erotic ebook phenomenon Incubus Master continues with this brand new sequel. A great jumping-on point for new readers! From the author of The Eidolon's Conquest!

I read this for the first time in 2012 when I was still very heavy into the Yaoi game. My girlfriend was an artist and she would create Yaoi and Yuri mangas and put them on deviant art and Tumblr. So when I saw this book again I had to give it a whirl. This was extremely fast paced because it is broken up into 7 parts when I read it originally it was one large anthology. Reading this as an adult I can no appreciate the kink more and I can understand why these characters were so driven by lust. I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first time and I gained some new insight along the way.
A free read, so I don't feel bad it turned into a DNF. I can't rate it because I didn't read enough. It could've ended in a 3 star, but I didn't care enough to find out.
I imagine it would have been easier to get a handle on what was going on if I’d read her Incubus master series first; and the story was definitely not a stand-alone. I don’t know: perhaps I should have been alerted to the fact that—although there was a “1” in the name of the book in the Nook store but there wasn’t on the cover—this was really chapter 1 rather than book 1. And then there’s the the term yaoi to me has always meant manga or doujinshi rather than being synonymous with ordinary m/m works, so I was disappointed by the absence of any illustrations at all.
OK: those are more or less my problems. However there is a big flaw in the author’s use of the word incubus. As far as I can tell, here it is just a synonym for demon. Now a demon is a being from another plane of existence or another dimension and its motives and actions may be just as complex and unpredictable as those of a human, but an incubus has a single motive and a single action: to come to humans at night and copulate with them—leading to disruption of their morals, destruction of their purity and (in the case of a man) utter depravity. Whereas here, while there is interspecies screwing, the mortal is awake and a conscious participant in the sex.
And since in addition to all that I didn’t find the story terribly compelling, I’m giving it only two stars.
The weakness in this story is it draws on events and characters from the previous series. Didn't read the previous series? Well, you are lost and sadly, can't connect with this book. If you read the 1st series, read on. You are good to go. The rest may want to skip as you can't buy the first series as stand alone books anymore.
A short but romantic story about how a couple demons and a human will live on. Jinady is lost in thought, with Figaru not around. He knows he shouldn't but he seems drawn the the demon Scor.... Will Scor accept him? What will Figaru do when he finds out?
This was just plain awful. No idea who was who or what was going on (maybe part of a previous series?) Downloaded it for free but will be deleting it off my cloud. And apparently this is a whole series?
