Excellent overview of Sherman's career and oeuvre in pocket-sized form. Though not an in-depth analysis (at just shy of 120 pages, that was never possible), it would make the ideal starter for someone who is interested in Sherman's work but knows little of the background behind it.
I was hoping that this book was a collection of Cindy Sherman photos because I'm really looking for a collection of her "Untitled Film Stills" series. Instead this book is a brief history of the life, her career, and her influences. It was enjoyable but it wasn't what I was looking for.
