I liked the beginning of Safe Surrender. It is pretty action-packed and I have to say there is never a dull moment throughout the storyline. But. Even though I always enjoy novellas that provide a plot besides the steamy sex, it's not good to overdo it! I felt that the author packed a bit too much into this short read. Furthermore, there was too much melodrama thrown into the plot. I couldn't feel this insta' lust either - it was just too rushed for my liking. They only "knew" each other for a few hours, after all. The steam level was pretty good and I liked the sex scenes. Then again, I think the ménage felt too construed. Wes and Ian wanted to share Carli, and she had to be convinced eventually.

Overall it was a good read and I liked Safe Surrender but I did not enjoy it as much as Nameless Surrender though. Of course I am so there to read Cam and Aidan's stories as soon as they'll be available. Maybe Ms. Daniels will even tell Ian's story too. I sure hope so!

Warning: Safe Surrender contains explicit sex and a ménage!

The action in this book started off quick right from the first page. Carli has stolen a thumb drive from a drug dealer that has all the information to put him away for a long time. She leaves the building and gets caught in the action while Wes and Ian are trying to do a take down on the drug dealer. Sparks fly instantly between Carli and Wes with Ian being also attracted to Carli.

You instantly feel sorry for Carli as a character. Her sister died from a drug overdose by the drugs given to her by the drug dealer Carli has been following for the past 3 months. She is not in extreme danger for stealing the thumb drive. Ian and Wes are in charge of keeping her safe. A sexual relationship ensues right away between Wes and Carli. It is a very hot relationship. Daniels does a good job of making the sex scenes seem real and believable. There is also a very hot menage scene between Ian, Wes and Carli that brings them closer together.

Till almost the end of the book there is a lot of suspense where Wes and Ian are there to keep Carli safe. Daniels mixes romantic suspense with erotica so seamlessly that you don't even realize you are reading erotica. I love when authors mix genres the way Daniels does. It makes reading more pleasurable. I will definitely be reading more of Daniels' work.

I was slightly disappointed by this book. When you write a crime romance novel it just has to be better than this. It has to ensnare you and keep you guessing the whole way through and this just didn't do that for me. I was also disappointed by the ending. In the end she only ends up with one of the guys, what would be so wrong about her ending up with both of them. It's actually more common and I have to say that two is better than one. Overall it was a interesting read but it just didn't give me that satisfaction that I've had with other crime romances. Shame!

Quick read. The storyline flowed pretty well in this book. Carli wants to avenge the death of sister by taking out the drug lord who puts the stuff on the streets. When the cops find out she's got all the goods on this drug lord, Carli is put under the protection of two hot detectives, Wes and Ian. Things get hot and heavy between Wes and Carli. However, this leaves Ian craving her attention as well. This book includes M/F/M.

(Explícito) Me esperaba algo más entre la relación de ellos tres, no que uno se fuera y dejara a los otros dos solos.
