La résistance s'organise sur la Pierre de l'Adieu, vers laquelle convergent tous ceux qui s'opposent ou désirent simplement survivre aux desseins maléfiques du Roi souverain Élias et du Maître de la Main Rouge, le mort vivant Ineluki. Mais si Simon a enfin réussi à rejoindre Binahik et le prince Josua – et s'apprête à vivre une cérémonie qui va changer sa vie –, d'autres sont encore très loin de Sesuad'ra.

La princesse Miriamélé et le moine Cadrach, qui croyaient avoir trouvé refuge sur le navire du marquis Aspitis, découvrent chaque jour un peu puis son vrai visage. Mais comment s'échappe-t-on d'un bateau en pleine mer ?

Malgré l'orage qui menace d'envahir tout Osten Ard. la situation des rebelles pourrait néanmoins sembler s'être améliorée depuis la découverte de leur refuge, transformé en place forte. Mais ce serait sans compter l'armée du Roi souverain qui s'approche pour écraser ce dernier espoir…

Je to tu, mé výtky k Williamsovi jsou zapomenuty. Jde sice jen o první svazek závěrečného dílu, ale že je to ale nářez.

Pryč jsou problémy s tempy, kdy první díl byl v některých částech zoufale pomalý. Stejně tak pryč je nekonečné přesouvání postav z místa na místo bez většího efektu z Kamene Rozluky. Věž Zeleného anděla rozhodně začíná ve velkém stylu. Všechny příběhové linky jsou napínavé, čas strávený s postavami se konečně začíná vyplácet a já se v této fázi série konečně cítím jako přímý účastník všech epických dobrodružství, která Tad Williams rozehrál.

Určitě by se dalo najít i něco záporného, ale já ani nechci. Věž Zeleného anděla mě zatím baví tak, jak se to už dlouho žádné fantasy sérii nepovedlo. Pokud autor udrží tempo a laťku i další tři svazky tohoto monumentálního finiše, tak to bude velká paráda. Vzpomínka, Žal a Trn se už tímto svazkem zařadili mezi oblíbené série a nepředpokládám, že se to ještě změní.
