I actually really enjoyed this book. I’ve always been interested in hearing about miracles and learning about how God can change something negative into something to bring glory to him. The main character is a man named Norman Ferris and his wife Ruby, who are both from Australia. They were missionaries and they were determined to share God’s word to those who needed it. In some situations they were reluctant to share the word of God and they faced many trials and tribulations, but you can really see how God worked to shape their lives through it all. I really liked how the author included some raw and vulnerable parts in the character lives and I loved how she portrayed certain characters. I could see and imagine these people based of how Eileen described them. I imagined Norman and Ruby to be strong, tough, brave, and courageous. Norman went to an island that was inhabited by devil worshipers, but he stayed strong and passionate even when he was scared. Norman wasn’t afraid to die because he knew God would protect him from whatever came his way. The only thing I would’ve liked is maybe some more details on where Ruby and Norman such as: where they were born, how they met, their family roots, and more. This book is filled with a variety of miracles. If you’re looking for some encouragement, this book is for you.
