I injoyed learning about the people mentioned in this book. I couldnt hardly believe how much knowlege about philosophy and Religion and life people around 500 bc had. Ive learned about a few of them in school but really didnt get the total picture of just how ancient society was. I was quite surprised. At times I found this book hard to follow because it would bounce from one person to another then back to the other person and had to back track a few times. But its truly amazing at around 500 bc just how intelligent some of the people were and how organized there society was. This book is really a good read with lots and lots of good and interesting facts. I just had a hard time believing that society and its people had evolved so well at and around 500 bc. I was thinking for some reason it was every man for him self and watch out for the dinosaurs lol Good book good knowlege.
