A lot of great information and photos but I very quickly got tired of the video-game style layout of each page where the animals are rated for "Superpower, Equipment, and Weakness" for example and the text includes things like "Terrorizes savannas, grasslands, and woodlands" (lions) and information I'm not sure is accurate like "Hippopotamuses are an ever-present hazard---they attack just to kill". I think it will appeal to kids though because it looks a lot like what you might see on a website...lots of pictures and lots of small bits of information divided into easily digestible chunks; includes a couple of flaps and fold-out pages as well.

(I quickly double-checked a few websites and can't find any evidence that hippos kill without provocation; they are bad-tempered and aggressive in defending their territory though.)
