(Updated Version) This bestseller gives the Christian woman practical help in understanding herself and the weaknesses she encounters in her private life and in her relationships. Covers every stage of a woman's life.
It is a interesting book. She sets it up so the first chapter is about the 4 different temperaments. Then the rest go though all stages of life. Youth,Single, married, menopause, those are the basics. She tells how to pray for yourself to strengthen your weaknesses. I really I joyed this book.
I enjoyed her comparisons of the four basic personality types (sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic, and melancholy) and her explanation of how women can overcome their feelings of being limited by personality and human self.
good information that has ties to personality types and behaviors. Generic in the information for me as a reader I would say possibly a four star book as some of the information could be "timeless" and helpful for those having picked up a book like this for the first time that ties spirituality or theology and psychology.
5/5 because this book made me laugh hysterically into the night. Just shut off all sense of logic, reason, common sense, or mental stability and read this book! Subscribe to the entire thing! Watch as your life changes from semi-functional to a complete train-wreck. LOL Thank you for the laughs.
I'm still not sure what temperament I am. I see myself in all the temperaments both strengths and weaknesses. This is a good book for Christian or non christian woman alike. It has good information which will truly lead the reader to lead a more Spirit filled life.
Quite a good read, a bit shallow at parts but then again I've read lots of Elizabeth George and it seems like a spin on her work with a personality twist. Recommended!
Muy bien libro para poder ser mejor cristiana. Habian cosas de las que no estaba muy de acuerdo pero la idea es rescatar lo que más se acerque a las cosa que Dios manda.
kind of a dissapointment. I was hoping, from the title, for a book on being controlled by the Holy Spirit--walking in the Spirit, being led by the Spirit, etc. That subject was only addressed in the last half of the last chapter. It was really a book about personality types. As regards this subject it seemed a little simplistic to me. I prefer the book "please understand me" which deals with personality better. It wasn't a complete waste; I finished it after all. But I was qutie dissappointed.
